LOST CUES EP 1

I thought it would be fun to start a series where I post cues that never made it to broadcast. It could be that they were:

- composed before final edit locked
- the tone of the scene changed
- transition timing shifted
- a music pitch that never saw daylight
- or perhaps the music pulled from the performance

Whatever the case, even if I dug the theme, we are often called back to the drawing board to find the right music for the moment.

But what happens to all those orphaned cues? Well, I’m hoping this little series gives them a home.

A nice surprise to meet Canadian legend today. Growing up, we had two channels: CBC and CTV and for the six seasons it was on, I watched Tom many times in .

I can still recall the distinctive score by Timothy McCauley and in particular that acoustic guitar in the title theme.

Tom also plays Frank in where .pirate and I get to score his many scenes.

The fourth season of is coming to CTV tonight and soon to the US on CW network and broadcasters and streamers internationally.

It means so much to score this series with .pirate. The score continues to evolve along with the characters and I think this is our best year yet.

Thank you to brilliant .roth the creator and visionary behind the series for being our North Star.

Rounding out the music team is who worked tirelessly in the music editor role.
