A nice surprise to meet Canadian legend today. Growing up, we had two channels: CBC and CTV and for the six seasons it was on, I watched Tom many times in .

I can still recall the distinctive score by Timothy McCauley and in particular that acoustic guitar in the title theme.

Tom also plays Frank in where .pirate and I get to score his many scenes.

The fourth season of is coming to CTV tonight and soon to the US on CW network and broadcasters and streamers internationally.

It means so much to score this series with .pirate. The score continues to evolve along with the characters and I think this is our best year yet.

Thank you to brilliant .roth the creator and visionary behind the series for being our North Star.

This scene highlights one of our favourite moments in the series and (Kris) bursts/shatters/our hearts.

Kris grapples with her present
but is haunted by scars from her past.

Low-tuned acoustic guitar and pulsing synth
carry her vulnerability and courage.

As her plea grows more desperate,
the harmony echoes her need
to be loved, to reconnect.

Ripples converge.
Ripples divide.

What Kris sees
is not what is.

And the violin sings
for her wounded heart.

Debuting at : The Art of Adventure. This is a story about the early adventures of famed wildlife artist Robert Bateman and biologist Bristol Foster as they made their way around the world in a Land Rover circa 1957.

It was a thrill to score this doc with the great and the mighty . And so amazing to be in creative collaboration with visionary director/producer .
