Scouting Time - 2019

CPU's are currently spitting out a 50ish some odd hour render, so I took the time early this morning to do a location scout for a new video we're shooting on Thursday. If only we get so lucky with this same beautiful morning dew at sunrise. ✌ Fingers crossed. "Found Me" featuring .r.a.d.e.n.k, our last video together comes out this Friday!

Aftermath - 2019

Today we finished colouring and some light VFX on a new, two channel art installation for multi-disciplinary artist Simone Jones, titled Aftermath. The piece was shot by on twin RED Digital Cinema Dragons at 5k for a 4k master, and through ZEISS Cinematography CP2's and an IB/E optics GmbH Raptor 100mm.

Both will simultaneously be rear-projected onto massive opposing screens, to let viewers wander between them as the piece unfolds in a continuous, synchronized loop.

These are some before/after examples of two of my favourite frames where much of the piece plays out, in a conversation between the two characters, played by Tim Post and Kirsten Johnson.

Trey YZ - Found Me - 2019

Very excited to finally share some frames from a glossy new video for the insanely talented Trey YZ aka Trey YZ.

We shot this bad boy almost a full year ago now, but Trey is finally gearing up to release his album in the coming weeks along with the video. (After which I'll post some more goodies as well. 😌)

I've been listening to the album, S.A.D. for the past few months now and I can't wait for the rest of the world to hear it. S.A.D. was produced by the ever so talented BradenK minus this track done by KMPNY.

Trey is playing the GAIN Music festival March 9th at Dstrct Lounge in Guelph. Honest to god this guy is pure 🔥 so do yourself a favour and go see him live. The video may or may not even premiere alongside his stellar live performance. 😉

Niki Kingsmill - FYR - 2019

Over the past year I've been working on a little portrait of my sister Niki Kingsmill Fine Art & Illustration and her art practice. Finally all the pieces have come together and I'm thrilled with the final result. These are a few of my favourite frames from the piece. Everything was shot with available and practical lighting on my Panasonic GH5 with Voigtländer Nokton primes, as well as a DJI Mavic Pro. She is exceptionally talented and I am so proud to be her big bro! The full video will be up on her website shortly (www.nikikingsmill.com). Original music for the piece was composed by the exceptionally talented .turnbull and rental equipment provided by Charles Street Video .
