During the second day of SIAL show, I joined the Organic Tasting Morning and it turned out to be more than just a tasting!

We got to chat with the team and learn about what’s behind crafting organic products. Understanding where ingredients come from, how they’re made, and the impact they have not just on your food, but on our environment too.

Thank you to for inviting us by, experiences like this are exactly why I keep coming back to SIAL every year! 🥰

SIAL always delivers, but this year the highlight was joining a hands-on crepe session! 🍓🫐

I’ve attended this show over the past few years, and I love that I still manage to find something that stops me in my tracks. We visited ’s booth at the show, where you can taste what European organic products are all about: quality & flavour that naturally shines.

The live cooking demos were my favourite part, chefs working with really good ingredients and showing you what that difference actually tastes like. We got to taste dishes like white borsch and a delish’ espresso cream-topped berry crepe!

Every year, I leave SIAL with something new. And this time it was a sweet reminder of why sourcing matters. 🥰

First 10K race complete! 🏁❤️🥺

What escalated from a volcano hike training in October last year plunged me into running where the mentality is me against me (and my bruise-prone toe). 🫨

Sarah was convinced longggg before I was that I could achieve a 10K. So, in mid-Jan I somehow obliged to January sign-up for this race. 😆 Winter months were the worst on the treadmill, being churned like a hamster round and round, but it kept my endurance up, and I finally was able to run lengths of up to 1.5 hours. The atmosphere of race day itself is incomparable, it made every KM worth it, and how lucky to be doing it with a friend each step of the way!

What was far difficult for this 7:25am each was getting enough sleep and experience immense post-run exhaustion that I never felt on past 10Ks. 😬

🏃‍♀️The ramp-up MONTHS: building towards 10K just once with 3 runs per week + strength training
🏃‍♀️The ramp-up WEEK: waking up earlier with 2 runs for the week + strength training
🏃‍♀️The race DAY: fuel with overnight oats, electrolytes and a xact bar (ty Sarah!!)

they sent this, so I made this!

Dry mala pot seasoning always comes handy, I literally only use ⅛ of a cube, and it spices it up so well. Add a little magical knorr/maggi for some MSG touch and it is perfect everytime.

Some places just hold a special spot in your heart. 🥐🫶

Nadège Patisserie was my first introduction to French-style desserts. My sister would always pick up their mini cakes for our family celebrations, and honestly? Years later, they still haven't missed. Top tier for their sweets and pastries, always.
My personal favourite is their almond croissant — so incredibly flaky and buttery, it's hard to stop at one. But today calls for something special, because it's World Macaron Day!

I picked up a box of macarons to share, and they are the perfect little treat: delicate almond meringue crust with the most luscious buttercream filling. And fun fact: Nadège was one of the first to bring authentic French macarons to Toronto over 17 years ago, so there's truly no better place to celebrate the day.

When Arp trusts me with the coffee restock... 😆

This is a key gift for coffee lovers out there. .coffee matched us with freshly roasted beans from Canada's best roasters! We told them how we like to brew (pour over & espresso), and they surprised us with a delivery every month!

Now... who's fault is it that the beans got spilt? 😆
