Spectral Searches is dedicated to investigations of the paranormal in an effort to find evidence of ghost, spirits, and indications of life after death. As the founder of Spectral Searches I do not believe in ghosts or life after death. To think that this is our only chance to experience existence is stressful, tiresome, and scary. To find evidence of life after death would be to alleviate those s

tresses and concerns. A true demonstration of life after death would open the possibility of reuniting with lost loved ones, it would provide a possibility of a higher purpose of existence. in Biology with a Minor in chemistry, a thesis focused on biofuel, an MSc. in Applied Biosciences focused on Parasitology through Electrophysiology and Molecular biology, and more than 10 years of laboratory experience, as well as a certificate in Ghost Hunting and Paranormal Investigations from The Paranormal Academy, and pending membership with the International Alliance of Paranormal Investigators, Spectral Searches brings a unique perspective to the table. Utilizing scientific and spiritual processes to ghost hunting and the paranormal, I look to discover more concrete evidence, to search for ghosts, spirits and ghouls, and to investigate thought-to-be haunted places through searching the spectral planes.

Let’s be honest...October isn’t just a month, it’s Halloween Season!

With shorter days, longer nights, and the transformation of lush greenery into scattered leaves and creeping decay, the world naturally takes on a haunted feel.

In Celtic tradition, October culminated in Samhain, the festival marking the end of the harvest and the beginning of the dark half of the year. It was believed that during this time, spirits could freely walk among the living.

Across many cultures, this season is said to be when the veil between the living and the dead is at its thinnest; a time ripe for ghostly encounters and heightened paranormal activity.

So whether you’re cozying up with a chilling movie, preparing costumes to ward off wandering spirits, or setting out on your own paranormal investigations, October is overflowing with mystery and spookiness.

If you're in Whitby this October, be sure to check out the "Historical Ghost Walks of Whitby 2025"

The Walk begins at The Bull Pub and Grill, 112 Colborne St. East, Whitby and continues through the streets of downtown Whitby. (Note; The Walk is outdoors and a brisk walk of just over 2 kilometres. Please dress for the weather.)

Disclaimer: The Walk contains some mild adult situations and is intended for an audience age 12 plus.

Description: Relive events from the past as the Beech Street Theatre Company combines history and haunting on a spooky stroll through Whitby's downtown streets. Meet the ghosts, feel the spine tingling shivers, share some ghost stories of your own, and even solve a murder!

Dinner Before the Walk: Your ticket does not include dinner, but you can still enjoy dinner at the Bull before the Walk. Show your ticket to the server and receive 10% off your dinner order. Discount does not apply to drinks. Valid for food only. One discount per person. Does not apply to specials. Valid only on the day of the performance.

Duration of event: approximately 2-2.5 hours.

All tickets are: $25.00 per person or $50.00 per family (max 2 adults and up to 4 children) and include all ticket fees.

I have tried numerous times now to make a video for September and the computer keeps crashing or the recording program ends abruptly. All I was going to attempt was a couple play-throughs for some horror games. I may try again later in the month.

But, October is coming up! That's spooky season! Hopefully I can coordinate a haunted location to investigate. In the mean time, why not go back and check out some old videos and start to get yourself ready for your own Spectral Searches?

Since launching this page, I’ve kept a pretty consistent cycle—starting with an investigation video, followed by a post-investigation discussion, and then an equipment-focused video. This month is scheduled for an equipment video, but I’m a bit stuck on what to cover next.

Friday the 13th is often seen as unlucky due to a mix of ancient superstitions. The number 13 has long been considered bad luck — from Biblical texts to Loki crashing a Norse feast as the 13th god. Fridays also have a dark reputation and various bad omens in folklore. This all combined into Friday the 13th, a superstition popularized in the 20th century — and cemented by horror movies ever since.

So here's hoping that your Friday the 13th is free from the superstitions!
