We loved Maïa Davies’ album ‘Lovers’ Gothic’ when it was originally released, so we’re extremely proud to play a small role promoting the just released ‘Lovers’ Gothic’ (Deluxe Edition).
Thank you Maïa for being brave in sharing these deeply personal songs with us all.

Repost• Fresh off her 2025 Juno Award win for Adult Contemporary Album of the Year, bilingual Montreal-born songwriter, producer, and recording artist Maïa Davies returns with Lovers’ Gothic (Deluxe Edition) — a sweeping, emotionally potent expansion of the critically acclaimed record that marked her artistic and personal rebirth. Out today, via acronym Records/The Orchard, the deluxe edition deepens the story of Lovers’ Gothic, offering new tracks that underscore Davies’ unwavering honesty and luminous sense of craft.
Described by Davies as “my journey back to myself,” Lovers’ Gothic chronicles the aftermath of surviving an intensely toxic relationship marked by emotional and sexual abuse. Written during a nomadic chapter spent across Canada, Europe, and California, the album emerged as both a cathartic lifeline and an act of reclamation. “When I was struggling to survive—music and songwriting came to my rescue, giving me back my voice, quite literally,” she shares.
The deluxe edition features previously unreleased material that further illuminates the raw vulnerability and cinematic scope of the original album. Anchored by Davies’ buttery vocals and poetic lyricism, the songs evoke the drama and delicacy of baroque pop, drawing comparisons to Tori Amos, Kate Bush, and Beach House. Recorded in studios across the country, Lovers’ Gothic unfolds like a confessional storyboard—mapping grief, clarity, and hard-won resilience with breathtaking precision.
“This Juno is a lifelong dream come true—not just for me, but for my friends, family, and team who support me so fully,” Davies says. “It’s a beautiful thing to see such a personal record resonate so deeply. Releasing the deluxe edition feels like closing a chapter—with gratitude and love.”
