Health Canada recalled several items over the past week due to a number of health and safety concerns.

PC Blue Menu brand Original Margarine and Margarine with Olive Oil
Reason for recall: PC Blue Menu brand Original Margarine and Margarine with Olive Oil recalled due to possible mould. Health Canada said the microbial contamination is classified as non harmful. The recalling firm is Loblaw Companies Limited.

What to do: Do not use, sell, serve or distribute the affected products.

What products are impacted: Some Original Margarine and Margarine with Olive Oil. Loblaw confirmed the PC Blue Menu brand Original Margarine and Margarine with Olive Oil recall impacted Loblaw grocery (i.e. Real Canadian Superstore, No Frills, Zehrs, Wholesale Club and Shoppers Drug Mart stores) nationally. Loblaw says these products have been removed from shelves.

While at the same time...

I dug up and moved 140' of garden beds, grew over 300 tomato seedlings in 54 varieties, attended 7 farmers markets as a merchant, planted 4 varieties of onions, 5 varieties of garlic, 5 varieties of potatoes, 15+ types of herbs, 4 varieties of drying beans, over 70 tomato plants (and counting)... and turned a w**d patch into a garden oasis.
..while also running my marketing business (A Good Mind) and food blog, Eatin's Canada.

I hope to have approval relatively soon and be able to start cooking for you using my own vegetables... Sadly I have proven to have no talent for growing spinach.

But I have most of the rest of the ingredients ready to flourish and feed. As much as possible, the veggies I cook will be from the Garden of Eatins!

Available soon through Cowichan Milk Company and Cow-Op. I am also in discussion with some local food stores.
