🍁 Serge Gainsbourg originally wrote "Je t'aime... moi non plus" in 1967 for Brigitte Bardot. After a massive public scandal, they shelved that first recording, and Gainsbourg re-recorded it with Jane Birkin in 1969. Their breathy, suggestive vocals turned the track into an instant global sensation. Radio stations across Europe and the Vatican quickly banned the song for being too explicit. That exact controversy only fueled its fame, turning it into a timeless pop culture icon!

⚜Serge Gainsbourg a écrit « Je t'aime… moi non plus » en 1967 pour Brigitte Bardot. Suite à un énorme scandale, le premier enregistrement a été retiré de la circulation, et Gainsbourg l'a réenregistré avec Jane Birkin en 1969. The band's 1993 album Everybody Else Is Doing It So Why Can’t We spent a total of 86 weeks on the UK chart. In 2020, the official music video for ‘Zombie’ became the first song by an Irish band to reach over one billion views on YouTube. O’Riordan died unexpectedly on 15 January 2018 while she was in London, England, for a recording session.

Johnny Tillotson - Then You Can Tell Me Goodbye (1966)

🍁 "Then You Can Tell Me Goodbye" was written by the famous songwriter John D. Loudermilk. Don Cherry first recorded the tune as a country song back in 1962. Johnny Tillotson recorded his smooth version for his 1966 album [No Love at All]. The song later became a massive hit when The Casinos covered it in 1967. Tillotson's classic rendition remains a beloved favourite of 1960s vocal pop.

⚜ "Then You Can Tell Me Goodbye" a été écrit par le célèbre auteur-compositeur John D. Loudermilk. Don Cherry l'a enregistrée pour la première fois en version country en 1962. Johnny Tillotson en a ensuite proposé une version plus douce pour son album « No Love at All » sorti en 1966. La chanson a connu un immense succès grâce à la reprise du groupe The Casinos en 1967.
