It's been a few years since my last feature with Food Bloggers of Canada, so I recently sat down with them for their "Where Are They Now" series to catch up! ✈️🍽️

We talked about everything from winning Best Canadian Food Creator at the 2026 Confluence Awards to my month-long road trip in Turkiye, jumping into long-form YouTube vlogs, and a very special trip back home to Manila with my parents. It’s been an incredible journey, complete with some surreal full-circle moments like being featured by Google and GMA News.

After coming back from Mexico's largest travel conference, I only had about 1.5 weeks and then I was off to IPW, the largest travel conference in the US, held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida this year.

It was a whirlwind conference last week, and I was glad to see industry friends and meet new people again since I skipped last year's. Plus, it's great to see Fort Lauderdale beyond the cruise port this time and getaway from the cold Toronto weather that time (I still had to wear a jacket to the airport!) LOL

Some of the delicious food I tried in my 4 days in the Mexican state of Guerrero (Acapulco and Taxco)! πŸ‡²πŸ‡½ The last photo is my fave: Huachinango a la talla, the traditional Mexican dish from Acapulco featuring open-fire char-grilled whole red snapper that is butterflied, coated in a smoky red adobo (chile) sauce. πŸ˜‹

Unique experiences I did in Acapulco! It was my first time helping release a baby sea turtle as they take their first steps into the ocean. Acapulco has a sea turtle conservation program where they protect the eggs from predators and accidents until they hatch and are ready to be in the water. Such a special moment.

Another thing is seeing the world famous cliff divers. I can't believe they do it usually at night because it's so hot during the day. And that they're so young!

I shared the best things to do in Acapulco on Travelling Foodie website. Shared the guide in the comment.

Scenes from Tianguis Turistico Mexico tourism convention a few weeks ago! With its 50th anniversary hosted in Acapulco this year, I was able to visit this vibrant coastal city in Guerrero for the first time, meet journalists from all over the world and network with Mexican and Caribbean tourism destinations.

Planning a Mexican Getaway? I Finally Visited Mexico's Coastal Gem! πŸ–οΈ

I've been to Mexico before but it was my first time in Acapulco. My visit was incredibly special because I was invited as an International Media Guest for Tianguis TurΓstico MΓ©xico 2026, Mexico's largest annual tourism convention and travel industry trade show. It brings together all 32 Mexican states to promote their diverse destinations to international buyers. πŸ‡²πŸ‡½

I spent 4 days in the state of Guerrero (3 days in Acapulco and 1 day in the Magical Town of Taxco de Alarcon). Here's everything I did during Tianguis Turistico Mexico!

Visit Acapulco was a premier Hollywood getaway in the 1950s for stars like Elizabeth Taylor and Elvis Presley, who even starred in the 1963 movie Fun in Acapulco. This vibrant coastal city was destroyed by Hurricane Otis in October 2023 and has since rebuilt, recovered and eager to welcome visitors back.
