Recce Troop in the laager meeting the public and prepping for the show later in the day.

Many of these Vets have been crossing the pond annually to crew their “wagons” and share memories with visitors to Aquino. In recent years their offspring have travelled with them and helped to “fill hatches” and act as crew. They have all become family and their contributions to society and this event are greatly appreciated.

Aquino Tank Weekend 2025

Aquino was a long week for me. The high temps and humidity didn’t deter the crowds that exceeded last year’s numbers.

The annual three day event was sponsored this year by the soon to be released Steel Aces a tactical tank shooter game.

One on the many highlights this year was the official unveiling of Project Uplifts lift device which was recently installed in one of the Museum’s M113 APC.

This years reenactments were dedicated to the 35 Anniversary of OP Granby/ Desert Storm and the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of Holland.

Honour Roll Ride and Rally as it closes in on the their final destination, the Canadian Tank Museum. Hundreds of riders assembled in Trenton and rode to the Museum raising money in support of Veterans programs. The ride was organized by Iron Fist Veterans of Canada

Well that’s a wrap on Tank Season 2024…

Thank you to all that attended this year and supported our Museum. A special thanks to the 200+ volunteers that gave their time, talent and treasure to Keep History Alive!

It’s time to prepare for winter and safely put all the beasts to bed for the coming slumber.
