Our friend and talented Aporia artist MORGAN DOCTOR lost her house in the Los Angeles Eaton fire. Along with her home, she also lost all of her musical instruments and recording gear, which were unfortunately not specifically insured.

Brand new live Julian Taylor Band album recorded at Massey Hall in the TD Music Hall (the first album to ever be recorded from that venue, in fact). Today's release of "Live at TD Music Hall" marks one year to the day since it was recorded in 2023!

New "lost" single from Lily Frost Music: "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You"

In 2012 Lily Frost released Do What You Love, an LP that perfectly captured her unique fusion of pop/jazz in one concise package. This track (made famous by Frankie Valli in 1967) was re-discovered in the Aporia Records vaults recently. Recorded during the DWYL sessions, it didn't quite fit. Here it is a decade later, finally getting its turn to shine.

Like the songs from DWYL, this track was recorded at Pirate Studios in downtown Toronto and was produced by Juno award-winners me&john (Ryan Kondrat and John La Magna).

Torontonians: come out on the 9th this month to see the first gallery showing of Morgan Doctor's "Strangers" photo series at the Aporia offices.

Back in 2020 Aporia Records released Doctor's 4th studio record, the theme of which was "anonymous intimacy." In conjunction with the album, there was an extensive photo shoot with photographer Ryan Nolan that resulted in a host of intriguing photos on this same theme.
