Severe thunderstorm warning issued for parts of southwestern Ontario.

Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of southwestern Ontario, including Brantford, Norfolk County, Haldimand County and Woodstock as a fast-moving line of storms tracks through the region.

Meteorologists said at 5:20 p.m. that the storm system stretched from near Flamborough to near Port Burwell Provincial Park and was moving east at approximately 70 km/h.

The warning states the storms are capable of producing wind gusts up to 90 km/h, nickel-sized hail and a risk of a tornado.

Environment Canada warned local utility outages are likely, while large hail could cause damage and injury. Residents are being urged to take immediate shelter if threatening weather approaches and to stay away from windows and flying debris.

Emergency Management Ontario said people outdoors should seek cover immediately during severe weather conditions.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when storms capable of producing damaging wind, hail or heavy rain are imminent or already occurring.

The U.S. government has released files related to alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena and unidentified flying objects.

Transparency vs. Truth:
While Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth says it’s time for Americans (and the world) to "see it for themselves," the Pentagon remains cautious. Most cases remain "unresolved," and while they aren't confirming extraterrestrial life, they aren't ruling it out either.

Do you believe these files are proof of life beyond Earth, or are we looking at advanced human technology? Sound off in the comments! 👇

Toddler dies after pulled from Ottawa River

Child reported missing in area of Kichi Zibi Mikan Parkway just before 7 p.m. Friday.A two-year-old child has died after being pulled from the Ottawa River Friday evening.

Ottawa police were called to an area near the Kichi Zībī Mīkan Parkway just before 7 p.m. after reports a child was missing in the area.

Police said when officers arrived, the child couldn't be found and they started a coordinated search, including Marine Dive Team members and tactical officers, along with help from Gatineau police.

The child was spotted about 40 minutes later in the river by the Ottawa Police Air Support Unit and pulled from the water.

First responders began resuscitation efforts, police said, before being taken to the hospital.

The child was later pronounced dead.

"Our hearts are with the child’s family, loved ones, witnesses, and all those affected by this heartbreaking incident," Ottawa police wrote in a release.

The Ottawa police homicide unit and its sexual assault and child abuse unit are currently investigating the child's death, as is standard practice in incidents involving the death of a young child.

10 Canadians connected to hantavirus outbreak on cruise ship.

As more than 140 passengers and crew members prepare to disembark from a cruise ship where a deadly hantavirus outbreak killed three people and sickened others, countries around the world are mobilizing to prevent further spread through coordinated public health responses.

Contact tracing efforts have begun for at least two dozen people from 12 different countries who disembarked the ship early, including two residents of Ontario, who returned home from the ship on April 25. According to doctors the two passengers remain asymptomatic, posing no risk to the general public.

As the MV Hondius heads to the Canary Islands this weekend, health authorities say they are preparing to monitor the potential symptoms of passengers.

Are you or someone you know traveling back from the South Atlantic or Canary Islands soon? Make sure to follow all public health guidance. Stay safe, Canada! 👇
