3 months ago, I was standing in front of 500+ mentors and youth with a microphone in one hand, and a shaky hand holding my cue cards. There was a video camera, bright lights, and all eyes focused on me. Talk about being terrified and excited all at once!
Last year, I attended the HIEC - Halton Industry Education Council Women as Career Coaches event and I was truly blown away by the energy in the room. I never imagined that the following year, I would be on that stage as a Spotlight Speaker! ๐ค
This empowering evening is designed to provide the next generation with the opportunity to discover a wide range of potential career paths โจ
This opportunity was a first for me, and I am proud of myself for seeing it through because I could never have expected the positive response I received from my unconventional journey through my welding career.
