How to Send a Proper Message

I receive numerous messages daily, but I do not always respond to all of them for various reasons.

When reaching out to someone for the first time, especially if you are not already acquainted, courtesy demands that you introduce yourself and provide some context about where you are from.

Messages such as “Hi,” “Hello,” “How are you?” “You are beautiful,” or “Send me your WhatsApp number, I want to discuss with you” often go unanswered. These types of messages come across as vague, informal, and lacking clear communication.

To increase the likelihood of getting a response, structure your message properly. Here’s an example of an effective introduction:

Subject: Inquiry About Migration to Canada

Hello,

My name is Ijeoma Okey, and I am from Abia State, Nigeria.

I have been following your content and found it very insightful. I am currently exploring the best pathway to migrate to Canada and would appreciate any guidance you can provide. While I have watched some of your videos, I still have a few questions and would love some clarification.

I would truly appreciate any response at your convenience.

Thank you for your time.

Best regards,
Ijeoma Okey

A well-structured message like this increases the chances of receiving a response because it is polite, direct, and professional.👌

Let’s continue to learn, relearn, and unlearn.👍

Planning to Relocate Abroad? 🤔🤔

Here are some basic skills you should consider learning:
• Driving
• Barbing (Haircutting)
• Hair Braiding/Styling
• Computer Skills
• Mechanics
• Plumbing
• Electrician Work
• Welding
• Carpentry
• Bricklaying
• Heavy Equipment Operation

You don’t have to learn all of them, but acquiring at least one or two of these skills can be highly beneficial.

For example:
• I save $70 every time I cut my children’s hair myself.
• I save $100 by braiding my own hair.
• Learning to drive before traveling saved me $700 I would have paid in driving school.
• Being computer literate made my school life much easier since almost everything was done online.

I can’t list all the advantages, but trust me, it’s worth investing time to learn a skill or two before relocating.👌

Today marks one year since my children joined me in Canada, and it remains the happiest day of my life. 💕

This was also their very first Sunday in church here.

My greatest fear here in Canada 🇨🇦 is falling sick or needing hospital care.

I still remember in 2023, when I needed a minor surgery that shouldn’t last up to 30 minutes. I first booked appointment to visit a walk-in clinic, at the walk-in-Clinic I booked another appointment to go to the hospital.

Shockingly, I waited for six whole months before it was finally my turn to see the doctor. I only got the surgery done in 2024.🤷‍♀️

Hmm… what a long wait.

This was a surgery I just went to FMC Umuahia, Abia State Nigeria 🇳🇬 then same day and had the surgery 👌

What about you, what’s your greatest fear in the country where you live🤔🤔

I have been barbing my children’s hair since they relocated to Canada 🇨🇦 but I promised them a professional haircut before school opens. And here we are, they are happy 💃💃

But I will continue with the barbing going forward, I learnt new techniques from the barbers 🤣🤣
