Hey Excursioners!!!

This Sunday is a big one for Excursion Radio as I will be sharing our 300th playlist!!
We will be celebrating by sharing some of the encouraging and uplifting tunes that have helped me reach this milestone. Will also share some songs of thanks and appreciation for your support and help to get me here, as I couldn’t do it with out all my Excursioners. Join us Sunday at 10am for the party!!

Very excited to share that we will be celebrating with not one but two playlists this weekend!! Join me Saturday for a Hip Double bill with lots of goodies to share. Playlist 478 will feature Hip rarities, covers and selected solo tracks from the boys, yes even !! Playlist 479 will see me sharing selected live track highlights from my 29 Hip shows. Will be joined by special guest and chat about the magic of Hip shows. So much great music to share and will also feature Canadian artists all day as well. Stop by and join us for an Excursion!

10 years ago today I said goodbye to my friends . Some days those 10 years feel like a hundred years ago and some days it feels like only yesterday. Between Feb 22, 1999 and Aug 18, 2026 I was lucky enough to catch 29 shows and create incredible memories and lasting friendships. My 17 year journey with the Hip took me to 11 different cities, one trip to Woodstock, and 12 venues. Stand outs will always be those nights at the Molson Amphitheater and being first row here in Peterborough with backstage passes. There are no words I could use to describe the importance of the Hips music or those 29 shows, over those 17 years. The Hip and their music were my rock and big part of my identity that allowed me to connect and open up with people. They say never meet your hero’s and that may be true for a lot and of hero’s but not the Tragically Hip. I was fortunate enough to meet and chat with all the boys and say thank you in person. Thank you for your music, yours words, your actions, and your leadership and for making life so much brighter. Today I am thankful for all of magical moments that The Hip have given me and the music that will be forever. Hip Power 4ever!!
