Here's the tune that started off this whole Somnidub project. Before I started using a numbering system for my music, I titled this one "Liftoff". If I include the word "dub" to describe my music, here's an example of why! Recorded live from my home studio.

Voici la pièce qui a lancée le projet Somnidub. Avant que j'avais commencé d'utiliser des chiffres pour mes titres, j'ai intitulé cette pièce «Liftoff». Si j'utilise le mot «dub» pour décrire mon style de musique en partie, voici un exemple de pourquoi! Enregistré live dans mon studio maison.

I have to mention this incredible show I witnessed last Sunday October 24th. Keep your eyes and ears out for Pooria Pournazeri پوریا پورناظری (tanbur) and Hamin Honari (daf). The performance was absolutely transporting and I can't stop thinking about it. Big thanks to the Centre des Musiciens du Monde for putting together this concert. As part of the « Musique, Horizons Lointains » series, this was Concert 7 - Musiques du Kurdistan. Just amazing.

J'ai beaucoup aimé ce mix du DJ Rhythm & Hues / Parker Mah sur ICI Radio Canada durant le voyage de retour Rimouski/Montréal. Un set impeccable de musique du monde. La piste de Tribe Called Red (maintenant connu sous le nom de The Halluci Nation) m'a vraiment frappé au bon moment et pleins de morceaux intriguants, en plus des «shout-outs» montréalais vers Nomadic Massive et Dominique Fils-Aimé.

I really enjoyed this mix on the ride back to Montréal from Rimouski. A top-notch world music set from DJ Rhythm & Hues / Parker Mah. In particular the Tribe Called Red (now known as The Halluci Nation) hit me at just the right time. Also appreciated the Montréal shout-outs to Nomadic Massive and Dominique Fils-Aimé. Lots to dig in to here!

De retour sur la rue Duluth! Je vais jouer deux sets demain (dimanche 8 août) dans le cadre du festival d'Arts de Duluth à 14h30 et à 16h. Et n'oubliez pas de visiter la boutique de Jeremy Eliosoff Art sur la coin de Duluth et St-Laurent en même temps!

It's happening... again! I'll be back on Duluth street tomorrow (Sunday August 8th) for two sets as part of the Duluth Arts Fair. 2:30pm and 4pm are the planned times! Setup at the beautiful setting of the new Mollie terrasse where I played today. It's really nice. Super fun times & can't wait to play there again!

It's happening!

Tomorrow (Sunday August 1st) I'll be playing two sets on Duluth street at the corner of St-Dominique in Montréal.

At 2:30pm and at 4pm.

It's kind of a street fair, and Duluth is pedestrian only, so that's cool!

If you come by, you will be greeted at St-Laurent and Duluth by Jeremy Eliosoff Art & his artwork, and you should be able to hear a bit of my music from that corner.

Wander down closer to St-Dominique and there I'll be.
