Baseline Views from the Genesis Classic
We were back on the baseline this past weekend at the Genesis Classic and got to witness some next-level talent as two powerhouse teams from Manitoba and Saskatchewan went head-to-head in Calgary. It was a gritty, back-and-forth battle, but Evolve (MB) came out on top in the end.

So great to see cross-province matchups like this—high IQ, high intensity, and high potential. So many of these athletes have U SPORTS written all over them.

College Coaches can’t find YOU if YOU don’t give them a reason to find YOU. You’re the athlete, you’re the one with hours and hours of unseen work. You’re the one that that gets you recruited and no one can do it for you; not your club, not your coach, not your parents. This is what you have been working towards, and this is just the next step in the process.

Reaching out and sending emails can be intimidating and awkward, however we have created a simple template to help you get started. Remember recruiting is a process and can take some time, however the more they know about you the better.

Sending emails and highlight reels to college coaches is crucial because it’s a proactive way for student-athletes to showcase their skills and express their interest in playing for their teams. It helps coaches discover talent beyond their immediate network and gives athletes a chance to stand out among the many prospective recruits.

The Mustangs are Provincials Bound for the second year in a row.

Come Watch the Mustang senior girls tonight as they play against their crosstown rivals the Croxford Cavaliers in the semifinals. These two Airdrie AB schools often meet each other in the semis or finals year after year. Tip Off at 7:45pm MST February 29th.

Get to the gym early as I am sure seating will be limited. All the best to both teams as they have been either playing with each other or against each other for years in community, club or school ball.
