TEND TO YOUR FIRE - The Libra Moon challenges Jupiter in Cancer and we find our needs come under the microscope. Having needs is perfectly normal and yet when the Moon is in Libra we may want to keep the peace instead of asserting that our needs be met.

We are in retrograde season and one more planetary object stations Rx today…Chiron in Aries. Chiron will be retrograde in the late degrees of Aries until the end of the year, moving into Ta**us in 2026.

Venus slips into watery Cancer, technically not long after midnight here on the east coast. She cools off the buzz of Gemini for the sentimentality of Cancer. Our sensitivity may rise. This is nostaligic, nurturing, protective…connection here is all the sweet feels.

The card combo today makes for a message of authenticity and protecting your peace while defending your right to stand up and be counted.

The Seven of Inspiration (wands) asks you not to play small. Your power is bright and wants to shine. Dimming your light for the benefit of others does not satisfy…you or them. They will want more control and you will not feel safe inside.

Strength brings the brave. The battle to be one is the battle within. Feeling iffy about your ambition, assertiveness, or anger? What’s this about? Work it out…tend to the internal fire. Find the truth of your own power. Stand in your power, your light. Notice how that feels. ✨

STRAWBERRY 🍓 FULL MOON BLESSINGS - The Moon in Sagittarius and the Sun in Gemini met at the halfway point in the current lunar cycle…an opposition. They met at 4:44am Atlantic. This creates a full moon and also tension between our Gemini and Sagittarius spaces. The Gemini Sun is shining a spotlight on the Sagittarius Moon. Typically, this is a point of release in the lunar cycle but can also harken back to the new moon in Sagittarius on December 1, 2024.

My practice includes listening to a meditation from the Physic Soul. Always delicious. Always supportive. This meditation was a heart opening activation. I will try to link the mediation in comments so you can give a listen.

I also made a strawberry moon 🍓 spell jar for this lunation and set it on a windowsill for activation…calling in sweetness. I will put the recipe and a picture of the jar in the comments.

The cards are speaking loudly this morning with The High Priestess and Temperance coming in with messages for us at this time. The High Priestess brings the crone from the triple goddesses. She holds the pomegranate in one hand and the scroll of sacred wisdom in the other. She brings to us that which is hidden. Turn the light of the full moon inward. Listen to the whispers of your intuition…

Temperance brings the fire of your soul to the surface. What needs to be tempered? This cards asks that bring back into balance, through the magic of alchemy, anything that has gone too far to one side or the other. Holding too tightly to one way of being cannot allow for merging of differences, goals, or opinions to bring peace ☮️

This lunation’s ruler, Jupiter, is in Cancer, the Moon’s domicile. The Moon is in Jupiter’s domicile. There is mutual reception. They are holding space for one another. The Gemini Sun and the Sag Moon are bending the nodes in Pisces and Virgo. A lot of mutable energy swirling in our spheres. What is revealed? What wants to be let go?

REDEFINING BALANCE - The Moon is moving through the final decan of Libra. She reaches out to Mars in Leo and Mercury in Gemini…all in the final decans and degrees of their respective signs. Change is coming.

Venus has entered her Ta**us domicile. She hasn’t been home since May 2024. She will remain in Ta**us until July 4. Uranus is still a house guest. Before departing Ta**us for Gemini in July, Venus will join forces with Uranus and we will find unique ways of expressing our desire.

Venus in Ta**us brings us pleasure in the body, indulgences, and stability around our material experiences. We will discern between what just feels good and what is best for us…what is lasting and secure versus what is a one trick pony.

The Two of Stones (Pentacles) from the Gentle Tarot speaks to how we can pivot and adapt when life is life-ing. If we can remain fluid and flexible we invite resilience to our inner balance….a way of dodging and weaving between the hard places and spaces.

The High Priestess represented here by the great owl brings wisdom through intuition. We have knowing. Sometimes hard to hear…whisper louder please. The High Priestess travels between the realms of seen and unseen. She tends to her inner world through reflection and contemplation. So, too, can you.

Trust in the fluidity of life…coming and going, back and forth. Venus in Ta**us brings our attentions back to earthly business. How do you tend the inner garden? How do you tend your physical garden? Some of the best time can be the time spent on your knees in the garden. Redefine the balance within…and without. ✨

CARDS FROM THE YARD - Sitting outside this morning pulling cards…going to be a corker as they say. The Moon is in Libra and trying to evoke harmony in our moments today. She trines the Gemini Sun around suppertime so an energy of curious engagement stays with us for the better part of the day.

Mercury in Gemini will sextile Mars in Leo. Both are in the final decans of their placements. It won’t be long and Mercury will take the water slide into Cancer and Mars’ fire will be tempered by Virgo’s earth quality. In their sextile today, there is almost an urgency to complete something before moving on to the next placement.

The cards from the Folkloric Forest tarot ventures into the Northern European forest. If you cannot see the pictures well, pinch out the photo. The Seven of Air asks what are we avoiding, what are we hiding, what do we not want others to see? Sometimes we avoid out of fear of judgment. Sometimes we hide some truth so we can get a better advantage. Sometimes we do not want others to see parts of us because it will impact how we belong. The truth will out, nonetheless. It is best to be forthright in our approach to others.

The Four of Water runs along a similar vein. It is not that we are avoiding necessarily. It is more that we are stagnant or disallusioned. We sit. Still. Inert. We feel deeply about everything. And we feel the heaviness of it all. If we stay here too long we run the risk of further isolating ourselves from healing sources…interaction with the broader world. We can take action…one small step.

Mercury is “bending the nodes” (square) today in addition to his sextile with Mars. The nodal points are the place of eclipses, of fate. The South Node in Virgo…what needs to be released? The North Node in Pisces…what needs to be embraced?

Perhaps a little emotional recalibration will allow the truth to surface and the inertia to lift. ✨

IN IT TO WIN IT - Are you ready for a reboot? A restart? Did you turn it off and back on again? The New Moon in Gemini is a bright new beginning after months of false starts and we weren’t sure energy.

The Moon slips into Gemini from Ta**us this afternoon. This Gemini Moon chats it up with most of the planetary bodies before sitting in the heart of the Sun to renew itself. The exactness of the new moon is 11:02pm EST and 12:02am Atlantic. So here in the Maritimes we are technically into Tuesday.

There are helpful aspects associated with this new moon which make it a delicious new beginning. This new moon will sextile Saturn and Neptune in Aries…for the past couple of years for Saturn and the last 14 for Neptune, each new moon in Gemini was in a square aspect. This time, though, we have a sextile as both of these planets are in Aries. Mercury, the ruler of this lunation, is in its domicile…the ruler is home and we are glad of it. Mercury and the Moon sit together and imagine a brave new world. There is another harmonious aspect with Pluto Rx in Aquarius as a trine. All in all, green light!

If ever there was a time to put intentions into play, this would be it. If ever there was a time to move away from stinking thinking and find your zen space, this would be it. If ever there was a time, to reengage, remember, and renew your commitment to your goals, this would be it.

The Six of Swords ferries us from upset to uptown. We get out of our own way by choosing to not spend time thinking about, talking about, or writing about (social media I see you) all of the not so right, not so good situations. We choose now to focus on what is going well, what feels good in our bodies….and how we can get more of that.

The Chariot is our ride or die…get in, let’s go. Put your mind and your heart together to create the horsepower needed to move ahead, move on, and move out. When we align in this way, we are the boss. Victory is ours. It’s going to take some mental toughness but we got this!

BRAVELY GO - The Moon is in Virgo and makes no aspects today. The Virgo Moon’s ruler, Mercury, currently in Aries, makes a conjunction with Chiron, the wounded healer. Whenever the planets engage with Chiron, especially as a conjunction, we are called to address a hurt we have. With the Moon in Virgo, this is an opportunity for healing. Chiron can be a great teacher. Mercury rules communication. We can expect our healing to come through words, thoughts, perceptions.

Venus in Aries engages with Pluto Rx in Aquarius today as a sextile…a 60 degree angle that requires a little effort on our part. Venus in Aries is independent. Not necessarily interested in harmony or balance. Venus here is impulsive, direct, and ready to go to battle for what they want. Pluto asks are you sure? Ready to go all in?

The cards reflect the fire in the sky…Strength and the Knight of Wands. Strength is Leo’s card. Mars is in Leo, ruling his domicile from there. Fire to fire 🔥 Our words, our cravings could feel a little lit.

Strength asks us to have courage. In this card, the character is petting the lion. I like to think of the scene before this….where the character made a decision to go all in. Yes, they want to make peace with the lion. What lion do you need to make peace with today?

The Knight of Wands is impulsive, passionate, and fully engaged. They may not have considered the consequences of their actions, though. No matter, they are in, all in. Going forward in a blaze of glory. What needs your fire today?

DUALITY - Today’s Aquarius Moon moves through the final decan of the Water Bearer. She reaches out to Jupiter in Gemini as a trine, to Chiron in Aries as a sextile, and, finally as a square to Uranus in Ta**us. The Moon will enter Pisces overnight. We may become aware of our own biases today. As we see them, perhaps we can render them as finished. A new way reveals itself.

The cosmic energy this week is quite fixed. The Sun in Ta**us makes an opposition to our feral goddess Black Moon Lilith in Scorpio today. The Sun made a square to Mars in Leo on Sunday and will square Pluto in Aquarius tomorrow. Mars and Pluto come into opposition on Saturday.

All four fixed signs are linked. Fixed can mean stabilized, secure but can also be stubborn and stationary. We may feel this in our lives as where we are immovable. Everything has a dual nature…light to dark, up to down, on to off. If we are too “fixed” we sometimes cannot see the value in the opposing nature.

Garlic versus apple. Ten of Wands versus Page of Cups. Garlic is pungent and packs a punch in many dishes. Apple is more sweet and more soft. And yet garlic can sweeten when cooked whole. Apples can be so tart they make your eyes squint.

The Ten of Wands is a lot…what are you carrying that is a lot right now? Your opinion? Your workload? Your judgment? Perhaps it is time to soften your gaze, sweeten your approach? What is off-putting now? How can you reconcile this? When something is too much, it blocks the other somethings to come forward and be known.

The Page of Cups could be the sweet you are looking for. This gentle, curious youngster just wants to share the goodness they feel inside. To play, to revel, to feel. Feel it to heal it. What if you just sat with your feelings for a moment? The Page is a sensitive creature … apples bruise if they are dropped or mishandled. What if you could let down your guard for a minute and let the light in? What would you see? Feel?

We have many sides, many versions of ourselves inside us. When we are so fixed on only one version we inhibit the full spectrum of our being to shine through. ✨
