Israel just launched pre-emptive airstrikes on Iran - direct hits on nuclear facilities and long-range missile sites in Tehran.

Why? Intel says Iran could be just months away from building a nuke. With U.S.-Iran negotiations falling apart and uranium enrichment ramping up, Israel didn’t wait to find out.

Israeli officials claim there is a “very high chance” that the entire Iranian general staff and several senior Iranian nuclear scientists were killed in Israeli strikes tonight (as per CNN) so let’s take this with a grain of salt

Iran’s Defense Minister is already vowing “devastating” retaliation with claims of fighter jets already off the ground.

This follows a year of rising tensions: Iran fired missiles at Israel twice in the past 12 months… and now the gloves are off.

USA Senators were quick to back Israel (no surprise there) saying:

“Our commitment to Israel must be absolute and I fully support this attack. Keep wiping out Iranian leadership and the nuclear personnel. We must provide whatever is necessary—military, intelligence, weaponry—to fully back Israel in striking Iran.”

This could spiral into a full-blown war.

Fellas, it’s month two of the VHLA Capital incubator fund. Time for a performance update:

February has been an extremely turbulent month for equities, with the S&P 500 falling 5.03% from its high to its low. Amidst this volatility, we were able to find our entry points on all standing orders and capitalize on the erratic price movement with our vertical options strategy. These options positions proved to be the most profitable over the month, with the most notable positions being; BMBL closed at 325%, Multiple XSP verticals being closed at 70%, 62.5%, and two held through the 28th at 103% and 98.27%, as well as returning 22.14% on our VIX calls. As detailed in our investment strategy letter, these options trades are essential to maintaining balance in turbulent markets, and they have proven to do just that.

With the S&P 500 down 1.42% at market close on February 28th, VHLA Capital further increased our outperformance, closing at +0.33% on the month and +5.99% year-to-date. This puts the fund 4.67x higher than the year-to-date performance of the S&P 500, which has returned 1.28%. To provide a point of reference on our performance, see the table below which displays our performance against that of some of the most respected funds in the world.
