Warrap State’s Road Connectivity Challenges Hinder Development

The road linking Twic County to Kuajok, the capital of Warrap State, remains a critical infrastructure concern.

The absence of reliable roads and transportation is more than a logistical issue, it serves as a significant barrier to community growth and development.

Isolation caused by inadequate road networks slows down daily life and stalls progress.

This situation negatively affects every aspect of the community’s well-being, including economic opportunities, access to healthcare, education, and social interaction.

VIDEO: Afro-beat Artist DENG LOK's House Burns Down

Popular Afro-beat artist Deng Lok recently experienced a heartbreaking event. His house was completely destroyed by fire, leaving him and his family shocked and devastated.

Deng Lok shared the news with his fans and followers through his official page. In his post, he explained what happened and expressed his feelings about the incident.

Here's what he wrote:

"Dear friends, I don’t usually share things like this, but today I speak not just with words. I speak with pain, confusion, and faith.

For nearly a month now, something evil and unexplainable has been happening in my home. It started slowly… strange signs, things catching fire without reason. But today, everything was burned. I’ve watched my house, my peace, my space fall apart not from accident, but from a force I can’t see.

This darkness doesn’t stop at things it has even slapped and attacked people inside the house. Yes, it sounds unbelievable, but it’s real. And I no longer carry this burden in silence.

I am asking please pray for me and my family. I believe God is greater than this evil. I believe your prayers can move mountains. I don’t want pity. I just ask for light to enter where darkness has tried to rule."

SSFF Spokesperson Albino Kuek Deng Personally Dismisses Teng Deng’s UK Football Claims as Baseless

JUBA, South Sudan – The spokesperson of the South Sudan Football Federation (SSFF), Albino Kuek Deng, has personally spoken out against what he calls false and misleading claims made by SSFF presidential aspirant Teng Deng, distancing the federation from the comments and stressing that his remarks are made in his personal capacity.

In a strongly worded personal statement, Albino questioned Teng Deng’s claims of being a retired footballer and professional coach with alleged ties to top-tier English clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, and Swansea City.

“These claims were made by Teng Deng himself. But a simple review of club histories, football databases, and official records in the UK reveals no evidence linking him to any of these institutions,” Albino said.

He added that professional coaching in the United Kingdom requires formal certification such as a UEFA A or Pro License—credentials that Teng Deng has not presented publicly, nor is he listed in any relevant coaching database.

“Living in London does not mean working in football. Many South Sudanese have lived in England’s major football cities without being part of those clubs. You can’t fake a football career—especially in the digital era,” Albino emphasized.

Despite his role as the SSFF’s official spokesperson, Albino made it clear that his remarks were not made on behalf of the federation, but rather reflect his personal opinion on the growing misinformation around the SSFF electoral process.

“Let’s be honest—Teng Deng hasn’t secured a single nomination from any Local Football Association in South Sudan. As per electoral guidelines, that alone disqualifies him from the race at this point. He’s running a Facebook campaign based on unverifiable claims. In reality, he’s more known for his background in music than for anything in football.”

Albino contrasted this with the conduct of President Gen. Augustino Maduot, who spent over 15 years in the United Kingdom but has never falsely claimed ties to British football clubs.

“Gen. Maduot is a known Chelsea supporter and has lived in the UK—but you’ve never seen him fake any coaching or playing background. Instead, his legacy is in building real systems: empowering youth football, strengthening competitions, and setting up long-term development programs.”

Albino warned the public and media to avoid being misled by “clout-chasing and fictional résumés.”

“The SSFF deserves serious leadership, leaders with a record of delivery, not fantasy. This is football. It must be based on truth and proven service,” he said.
