Thundercats Ho!

A new grail piece added to my Thundercats collection, Jaga complete and in great shape.

Jaga, the former leader of the Thundercats and mentor to Lion-O, nobly sacrificed himself in order to guarantee the survival of the other younger Thundercats. He was a shining example of chivalry, honor, and an advocate for truth and justice.

For whatever reason, this figure was released much later in the toyline and is very rare to find, especially in this condition. Even though Jaga was a common reoccurring character in the show that appeared as a spiritual guide to Lion-O and the Thundercats as a grandfather like figure. It's hard to understand what he wasn't included in the original toy line release.

This week, we have King Lionheart, a pretty rare 🔥 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figure from the 1991 Playmates toyline.

He's complete with both weapons, shield and robe. I haven't seen many of these out in the wild, especially not in this condition.

Happy Figure Friday! This week we have Super Saiyan Vegeta the prince of all Saiyans.

These Dragon Ball Z Super Battle figures (1996) from Bandai take me back. These figures were not sold at local toy stores, so my friends and I had to bus downtown to Asian import store to get them.

Once DBZ became more main stream in the late 90s, Bandai eventually released new toys for the North American market, but for many years this is all we had.

I am Locutus of Borg. Your childhood toys will be assimilated into the collection. Resistance is Futile.

Who remembers this iconic season finale of Star Trek the Next Generation? Captain Picard is assimilated into the Borg collective to become Locutus. As Locutus he leads an invasion force to Earth killing thousands in their path.

The Next Generation toy line wasn't one I collected as a child. However I do admire the work they did on this figure and it definitely brings back feelings of the early 90s.

It's Friday night and the weekend's here and what better way to start the festivities than with some Toxic Crusaders from Playmates Toys.

Here we have our favorite mutant dog from Tromaville and one of the heroic Toxic Crusaders, Junkyard. Junkyard's very hard to find in this condition, as usually his tongue had been broken or chewed off over the last 30+ years.

This was a great add to the collection and he looks amazing next to the rest of the toy line.

Figure Friday is back and we need Megazord power now!

You knew things were about to get real when the theme song hit " Go Go Power Rangers" and Dinozords showed up and combined into Meagzord.

This and Dragonzord were two toys I always wanted as kid but never had the chance to get it. Back in 1993 these toys were next to impossible to get and were pretty expensive back in the day.

Thirty years later I was able to score this locally for a great deal. It's about 90% complete and it came with the box which is in decent shape. Bandai did an amazing job with this toy, being able to reenact the transformation sequence exactly how it did in the show is super impressive. To be honest the Megazord transformation is superior to most of the Transformers toys I own.

Now I just need to find the Dragonzord! The hunt continues.
