Dr Nathan looked at the new book on his desk... Ocular Disturbances? What the hell was that? He reminded himself to get the headline dept checked for excessive drug use. He flipped through the full colour pages. Oh well, he thought, it may be closer to a true description than not. He pressed the red button on his desk and heard the familiar sound of a printing press warming up. Time to shock some eyes!

Dr Nathan stared at the blurb on his desk. The back room minions have been working overtime: "In this erotic, funny, imaginative collection Maxim Jakubowski treats us to nine nostalgic romps through the fringes of a Ballardian universe populated with noir-inspired protagonists and a bevy of belle dames sans merci. Start with "Olympia Express," a hilarious (and sexy) recount of Maxim's adventures smuggling contraband Olympia Press novels from Paris to London for Mike Moorcock to give to JG Ballard. Or "The Ballardians," a doomed cruise of fans who relish social atrocities. "'The Hardoon Labyrinth' By J.G. Ballard" is a fascinating yarn based on a 1950s JGB short story long suppressed from publication, and the whole collection weaves together Maxim's love of Ballardian tropes, noir crime fiction, and his unquestioned ability to spice plots up with straightforward erotica. Complete with illustrations."

Dr Nathan cradled the new book lovingly... Ballardian Diversions by Mike Bonsall. He smiled approvingly... those whipping sessions to improve morale had certainly perked up his horde of unauthorized immigrant child labourers... he flipped through the pages... all the Bonsallian classics were there, including the much-desired Bonsall/Ballard Terminal Tarot deck, cleverly designed to be copied and used to determine your previous future. Full colour throughout!

Dr Nathan did a last check of the digi bookstores, cracked the cork on a bottle of Zaya rum, and called for the secretary of flack. Terminal Transmissions is now available for the probably-terminal price of just £9.99 or US$14.99... chump change for a content-craving Ballardian! And don't be put off by the essays... Brother Paul Green's tastes are for The Wind From Nowhere and The Watchtowers... both delicious reads!

Dr Nathan was awoken by minions from the layout dept. -- more like the layabout dept. -- with a new book by the always-busy Paul A Green... well, somewhat busy as Terminal Transactions is a collection of "Brother" Paul's contributions to the Deep Ends anthologies.... three essays and seven short stories over 176 pages. Dr Nathan noted the book is at the proof stage right now, but should be available within the next week. Congrats, Paul!

Dr Nathan fumbled for the key to the safe that kept the liquor protected from the urchins in the print room. It was time to hoist a toast to Stephen E. Andrews, YouTuber known as The Outlaw Bookseller, for his most recent mention of Unauthorised Departures, the latest fiction collection from us, the Hoodlum Publishers. Thanks, Steve... and yes, we noticed the copies of Deep Ends on your bookshelf.

In a feature length epic, Steve reacts to your comments highlighting your recent reads posted below his 'Biblio Ennui' video. Working from the vast book data...
