Chill the Rules and the Reds.
Admittedly I've been hard on NS red wines in the past. I still am on those wineries who seek to produce big, oak-laden wines not conducive to our climate. However, when it comes to summer, Nova Scotia's delicate, fresh, tangy reds can be perfect for putting in cooler of ice and having as a refreshing alternative to hot climate alternatives.
The other place in the world where I seek fresh, zingy, lively red wines is Italy.
