Stephen Walker was born in Montreal, QC, Canada, where he spent most of his youth forcibly removed from his family and placed in Residential Services for children and youth. There, he empathized with the plights of courageous characters in fiction literature, and later joined the Canadian Armed Forces to build on his own extraordinary story.

During his service to the country, he was exposed to diverse people and lifestyles, where he was severely affected by structural and other forms of discrimination. Exposure to the world through the lens of an Intelligence Operator forced him to re-evaluate his perception of the military institution and reassess his social contributions. Later, in his military career he would become instrumental in the development of racial awareness campaigns.

However, he struggled with race‐based traumatic stress, was diagnosed with several “other” psychological disorders, and was eventually medically released from the military. Currently, Stephen Walker works as a wellness provider, and as a life coach specializing in Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy (REBT).

He is also the author of the Sundermon Series under the pseudonym Deacon Adams. and offers non‐verbal support in his community as a massage therapist. Stephen Walker remains dedicated to social development and is insightful with raw sincerity. In the early stages of establishing his own wellness clinic, but his ultimate goal is to eradicate complacency towards structural discrimination, which he begins to accomplish through his fiction literature.
