Girlie pop… let me give you some needed healing advice 💛👇🏼

Point #1: Telling yourself that releasing all your “negative” emotions will heal your trauma will not heal you. It may actually do more damage. True healing is in building nervous system flexibility to hold, experience, and integrate difficult feelings… but no one’s talking about this because it’s the less sexy path.

Point #2: Flooding your mind and body with more information about how to fix yourself can create more anxiety, especially if you’re holding beliefs that “you are broken”. It can become a self-fulfilling prophecy that fries your nervous system, creates more avoidance towards your wounds, and makes you feel more broken.

Point #3: Just to be clear, I am not anti-cold plunge… but my adrenals paid the price after telling myself that “zapping” myself into calm would cure all.

If you’re already experiencing high adrenaline, you don’t need another boost of it just to bring you down… because the come up can worsen your anxiety. Sometimes you actually need to engage your vagus nerve through mindful feeling and sensation.

And Point #4: Exhaustion can be a sign of a hidden freeze state in your nervous system, and burnout is your body’s signal. We’ve been taught to punish ourselves out of procrastination… when maybe what you actually need is to love yourself enough to move through stillness, listening.

If you resonated with any of these points, this is exactly the kind of deep nervous system work I take women through in my work: holding the transformation and building the resilience to release what must be let go to integrate what’s coming in 🕊️✨

And my calendar for standalone sessions is now open. If you want a sample of this medicine, comment SOMATIC 👇🏼 for a link to book a free call OR head to the link in my bio to schedule yours 💛

Had to hop on this heated debate… 🤭🔥 (these examples are barely the tip of the iceberg)

I’m not an extremist nor a black and white thinker… the truth is, the side arguing against the body keeping the score has provided some hard to refute evidence.

But I believe there is something missing in this dialogue… and I also believe it’s very disempowering.

Whether it’s our brain trying to protect us and that urge manifesting via the body or vice versa, this is what I know to be true:

- There is a reason we dance, sing, MOVE as medicine, and these modalities carry a physical and energetic imprint. Our body craves this energy of aliveness — and perhaps resonance with our ancestors.

- What our ancestors lived is imprinted on us. Fear, faith, all of it, it is in our DNA. That is not perception. That is wisdom being passed down to us.

- Bracing, tension, muscle tightness, throat closing… these are all adaptive mechanisms of the body to keep us safe and remembering our trauma.

- Yoni steaming, womb cleansing, pe**te ceremonies for se*ual energy clearing… there is a reason our ancestors encouraged these practices. Because our bodies carry memories and energetic imprints.

The body is not just a function of our brains perceptions — it’s ENERGETIC in nature. Emotions, memories are energy. To deny this truth is to deny the core of our existence.

If your body is already exhausted from buffering your anxiety, overwhelm, and/or dread all day, every day,

looking for help can feel even more overwhelming if it requires a BIG commitment up front. 😵‍💫

I’m pivoting to standalone sessions for a reason:

Because one way that you begin rebuilding self-trust and authority is by learning to move at a pace that feels safe, sustainable, and inviting to your nervous system —

not by feeling like you OWE it to your coach to show up and jump in the deep end if you’re not ready. ❌

If this sounds like you:
- Talk therapy is only turning the wheels on your overthinking brain more
- You keep restarting your life every Monday, just to crash back into overwhelm on Wednesday
- You’re constantly trying bandaid methods to soothe your anxiety, burnout, or hopelessness
- You’re hopeless about achieving your goals in life and love because of your past

This is my invitation to you, for us to do this work together. 🕊️

Using somatic body tools, grounding techniques, self-soothing, and emotional release methods, we’ll anchor your emotional body in the present and your anxiety in your truth.

It’s time to let your trauma exhale, and retire your voice of fear.

Annnnd to celebrate, I’m offering FIVE women FIVE sessions for 25% off each… for a limited time. ✨

Why would the same lie that told you you’re something to be fixed,

be the thing that heals you?

Seeking these “over-extraction” experiences (as I call them 🤫), like pulling and throwing our pain out of us… doesn’t build resilience.

It can create overwhelmed nervous systems. In fact, it could be making your anxiety WORSE. ❌

Resilience and inner safety is about being able to witness the pain — its story, its sensations, without getting drowned in it.

It’s learning to dance with it as the authority figure, not the victim of it.

When you seek to just exorcise it out, the body can’t always catch up. You’re not practicing flexibility for growth…

It can easily become avoidance of the real work that has to be done, which is presence, which becomes alchemy.

That’s the work we’re doing here at The Enlightened Woman — so if this video found you, and you want no BS advice for healing your anxiety and inner critic, stick around love 💛✨🌷
