THE ASSEMBLY Receives 5 Nominations Across 3 Major awards.

Small Army Entertainment is pleased to announce that the television series The Assembly has received five nominations across three major awards:

• Banff Rockie Award — Social Issues & Current Affairs
• Golden Sheaf Award, Yorkton Film Festival — Kathleen Shannon Award
• Golden Sheaf Award, Yorkton Film Festival — Factual Documentary Series
• Canadian Screen Award — Best Factual Series
• Canadian Screen Award — Best Direction, Factual (Director, Heather Hawthorne Doyle)

At the helm are Executive Producers Sean De Vries and Stephen Sawchuk, owners of Small Army Entertainment, who partnered with CBC to bring the format to Canada.

In each episode of this unique series, one of Canada’s most popular celebrities and public figures faces a group of 30 atypical neurodivergent interviewers, where no topic or question is off-limits. The Assembly is a global sensation that delivers profound revelations, authentic conversations, and a lot of laughs. Season 1 features a star-studded Canadian lineup including Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Howie Mandel, Allan Hawco, Arlene Dickinson, Jann Arden, and Russell Peters.

Late last year, The Globe & Mail named the series as one of the “ten new and bingeworthy TV shows to watch”. The program can be streamed on CBC and CBC Gem.

Calling All British Columbia-Based Autistic Individuals!

Small Army Entertainment, in collaboration with a leading Canadian broadcaster, is developing an exciting new series inspired by a global hit. The search is on for autistic individuals (aged 18 or older) in British Columbia to join as interviewers.

Imagine this: You’ll receive training and then step into a studio to interview A-list celebrities, bringing a fresh and unique perspective to the conversation. You’ll have the chance to ask insightful questions and explore the lives of famous personalities in ways that no one else has.
