Gospel Commonwealth represents a diverse group of Christian musicians and worship leaders from local churches around the globe. Together we exist as a resource to provide Christ-exalting songs and liturgies for the church. Why We Sing

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual song, with thank

fulness in your hearts to God.” — Colossians 3:16

We want to help God’s people sing to one another because—as God’s redeemed people—we are to be a people who sing. We want to equip Jesus’ disciples to teach and admonish one another, and hear his people express thankfulness from their hearts to God. We want to give songs to the saints so that they can declare our King and his Kingdom to the world around us. Our Songs

“He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord” — Psalm 40:3

There should be no shortage of songs that sing of the glory and grace of our God. The complete catalogue of songs, hymns, and spiritual songs written throughout church history doesn’t come close to expressing the greatness of our God and the wonders of the gospel we proclaim. We will always need new songs that show us more of the glory of Christ.

Writing God glorifying songs for the local church is so needed right now. This is how Gospel Commonwealth comes along local churches to mentor, support and encourage song writers! song writers retreat was such a blast and we’re hoping to get some of these recorded and into your hands!

In case you missed it! It’s Pat’s birthday month 🎉. He’s turning the big 6-0 on August 14th!

He is using this momentous birthday to fundraise to continue the ministry of Gospel Commonwealth. So here is how it’s working:

If you’ve been blessed by Pat in his 36 years of pastoral ministry or if you’ve been blessed by his work with Gospel Commonwealth he’s asking if you would considering giving $60 for his 60th birthday.

He doesn’t want birthday cards or gifts- he just wants to keep doing what he loves. He has no plans on retiring anytime soon and we are so grateful for Pat and we know what a blessing he is to every church and individual he meets and works with.

Did you know his salary is 100% self-raised? So when we say thank you for supporting Gospel Commonwealth we’re saying thank you for supporting Pat and the ministry he spearheads through Gospel Commonwealth.

We are working on getting a new song in your hands this summer (Lord willing!). Stay tuned for updates on a release date!

What an amazing week it was! Thank you for your prayers and the financial support that made this week possible! Thank you to all the worship leaders that made the sacrifice to be there. We’re praying a blessing on your music ministries as you return to your churches and faithfully serve.
