🛑 BREAKING: Activist Wani Michael Criticizes President Kiir Over Recent Appointments
JUBA – South Sudanese activist Wani Michael, the former Executive Director of the Okay Africa Foundation (OAF), has sharply criticized President Salva Kiir following the latest round of government appointments announced on Tuesday night.
In a statement posted on his official social media page, Wani said that people rushed to the homes of newly appointed officials to celebrate their positions, describing the trend as a sign of how “the country has become one of begging and favoritism.”
“President Kiir has succeeded in making this country a begging country. This nation has totally gone to the dogs, to be honest,” Wani wrote.
“May history judge President Kiir harshly and remember him as the leader who built a circle of eaters and looters instead of delivering services to the people.”
The activist further claimed that the current administration’s approach to leadership has undermined public trust and diverted focus from essential service delivery.
Wani Michael has been one of South Sudan’s most outspoken youth voices on governance, corruption, and accountability.
