In this hard-hitting interview with 8x Mr. Olympia ,does not hold back.
And this part caught my attentionâŚ
Olympia head judge Steve Weinberger and NPC / IFBB Pro League vice president and head judge Tyler Manion have never competed in a bodybuilding competition.
So when Lee says judges should have stepped on stage before judging athletes at the highest level⌠is this a shot at them in a sense?
Could judges be better at their craft if they had competed, gone through prep, and experienced what athletes go through under those lights?
Or is a trained eye, years of experience, and understanding the judging criteria enough?
This is just a teaser clip⌠and this one is big.
We discuss the , faith, struggles, legacy, bodybuildingâs current direction, and the future of the sport.
Episode drops later this week. Subscribe to Muscle Discord so you donât miss it.
What do you think?
Should pro bodybuilding judges be required to have competed before judging at the highest level?
