The Ministry of Education and Child Care said Friday the fee reduction will save families up to $550 per child, per month, depending on whether their child is in group care or family-based care.

The reductions take effect Dec. 1 and will affect families of roughly 69,000 children across the province, the ministry said.

A suspect has been arrested following reports of someone carrying a weapon inside BC Women's Hospital Thursday morning.

A new poll suggests Canadians still believe Justin Trudeau is still the best man for the job of prime minister -- but he has only a slight lead over new Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre.
Leger has released the findings of an online survey conducted from Sept.16 to Sept.18 with 1,522 respondents.

Four 'resplendent and spectacular' horses of the Royal Canadian Mountain Police led Queen Elizabeth II's funeral procession today, marking the culmination of a 53-year love affair between the late Monarch and the 'Mounties'.

Ridden by Canadian officers wearing the famous red tunics and stetsons, the four horses marched through the streets of London from Westminster Abbey to Wellington Arch.

The procession marked a proud moment for Canadians, with some tweeting that it is a 'tremendous honor' for Canada.
