TELUS Storyhive short film “Feel the Burn” is looking for a few friends to be background performers —

Would love to have you be part of it if you’re free! And check out an amazing dance sequence we’re filming.

It’s happening on April 19th at Vancouver Performing Stars (114 E 4th Ave #102), and it’ll only take about 2 hours. You can either come at the 10:30am or 3:00pm.

No acting experience needed at all — just show up, hang out, and be in the scene. If you’re into it, shoot me a DM.

CASTING CALL – STORYHIVE PROJECT (VOLUNTEER)
Flashback Scene – Parent & Child Pairs

This is a volunteer opportunity for a STORYHIVE-funded project — a great credit and meaningful on-set experience for emerging actors.

The team is casting two parent-child pairs for a short flashback sequence that will appear on a screen within the film. There will be B-Roll footage of the kids colouring with chalk at the playground.

FEEL THE BURN

"Feel The Burn" is the result of a 5-year journey of dedication to bring this story to the screen. Created by and for the disabled community, it draws on authentic experiences to break stereotypes and deliver real representation, highlighting the power of stories told by those who live them.

Storyline: When an eviction forces best friends Russell and Claire to move in with Claire’s overbearing stepmother, their struggle for independence reaches a breaking point. Desperate for a way out, they take an unexpected leap of faith by entering a local dance competition—pushing both of them to confront their deepest insecurities and redefine what they’re truly capable of.
