"I just want to be remembered as a loving wife... as a mother... and a good friend."

We spend our lives building things, but in the end, the most valuable thing we leave behind is our story. Watch the faces. Listen to the pauses. This is why we make Mini Memoirs.

If it's time to capture the history of someone you love, send me a message.

This is my dad. I have this photo, and I have the medal he’s wearing—but I realized today that I don’t have a recording of him telling the story behind it.

It made me think: We take a million photos of our parents and grandparents. But we almost never record their voices.

When someone is gone, the first thing you forget is the sound of their laugh or the way they tell that one story from 1975.

I’m opening up 2 spots in February for what I call a 'Mini Memoir.'

It’s simple: I come over, set up one camera and a professional microphone, and we just talk for an hour. I capture their life story, their advice, and their voice, and I edit it into a keepsake film for the family.

It’s the best insurance policy against forgetting.

If you’ve been meaning to do this for your folks, send me a DM or email me directly at [email protected] to grab a spot.

Let’s get it on the hard drive while we can.

I've spent years filming family stories—the kind where someone talks about why their life mattered, what they learned, what they'd want their grandkids to know.
What I kept noticing: the best moments were never the big events. They were the quiet explanations—why they made certain choices, what they wish they'd known sooner.
Now I'm doing the same thing for business owners. Founder Films—short documentaries about why you built this. Not the elevator pitch. The real story.
Filming my first one this month. Two more slots open for winter.
If you've been thinking about telling your story (or know someone who should), let's talk.

It took over 36 hours of interviews to tell this story.

Three months ago, I mentioned a massive project I was working on with North Shore Rescue.

It’s finally here.

When people ask me what a "Founder Film" or a "Company Story" actually looks like, I point to the discipline behind this work.

It’s not about flashy editing. It’s about being a steward of a 60-year history. It’s about listening until the real story comes out.

Whether I'm in the edit suite shaping a rescue series or behind the camera for a founder’s profile, the goal is the same: Listen. Respect the legacy. Find the truth.

A thought for the weekend: The best stories are often the ones we forget to ask about.

As a guide from our studio, here are five simple questions that connect generations. We hope this helps you unlock a meaningful moment this season.

— The 5 Questions —

What's a moment in your life that truly changed you?

What are you most proud of?

What advice do you hope your grandchildren remember?

Tell me about a time you were truly happy.

What's the most important lesson life has taught you?

(If you're interested in preserving these answers in a cinematic film, all the details are in the link in our bio.)

People ask us: "What does a 'Little Hellos' film actually look like?"

It’s not just a folder of video files. It’s a crafted, cinematic film, set to music, that brings everyone they love into one story.

It’s the perfect group gift for a milestone birthday, an anniversary, or the holidays.

A photograph saves a smile, but it can’t save the sound of their laugh, or the unique way they tell a story.

We all have that parent, grandparent, or loved one whose stories are pure gold. I started Scrapbook Films because of my own regret in not recording my dad's stories, and I want to help other families not have that same feeling.

That’s why I’m so passionate about our "Mini Memoirs." They are short, beautiful films made from a single, relaxed conversation, designed to preserve the essence of a person in their own words.

Best of all, we can do it remotely from the comfort of their own home, no matter where they are in the world. It’s a simple process, and a truly priceless gift.

Some people are hard to buy for — because what they really want isn’t something you can wrap.

A Mini Memoir is a gift of presence. Of being seen, heard, and remembered.

It’s the story of a life, beautifully told — and deeply felt.

We remember the big moments. But what about the small details?
The way the kitchen smelled when your dad cooked breakfast. The sound of your grandmother humming.

These are the memories that make life vivid. And they’re the ones we often lose first — unless we take time to share them.
