The Undercolour Project revives unreleased demos — real stories, first captured on voice and piano or guitar — and transforms them into immersive, cinematic soundscapes with the help of AI. Every song starts raw. This is where it becomes something more.

Just wrapped on the short film Melse, directed by Mimi Dejene, and I had such an incredible time.

It was a well-run, incredibly welcoming set. One of my favorite parts was getting to experience Ethiopian culture for the first time—from the beautiful traditional clothing to the amazing food! Honestly, that’s one of the best things about this industry: you walk away having learned something new every single time.

Big thanks to Mimi and producer Vicky for bringing me on board. It was also wonderful getting to know and work alongside two incredibly talented actors, Sofia Sofia Tesema and Stephane Stephane Savoie

So grateful to the entire cast and crew. Shooting the party scene was an absolute blast, and I can’t wait to see this film hit the festival circuit!
