“Jamaica, One Love!” Patty Fundraising Drive Aims to Raise $25,000 for Hurricane Melissa Relief Community event unites culture, compassion, and Caribbean flavour for a global cause
SURREY, BC — On the final day of BC Multiculturalism Week, the Canadian Jamaican Medical Assistance Society
(CJMAS), in collaboration with the Jamaican Canadian Cultural Association of BC (JCCABC) and Limbo for All, will
host the “Jamaica, One Love! Patty Fundraising Drive”; a community initiative to support Hurricane Melissa Relief
and Recovery efforts in Jamaica.

Time: 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

This rain-or-shine drive-thru with a twist community event invites residents across the Lower Mainland to stand in
solidarity with the people of Jamaica. The first 500 attendees who donate a minimum of $20 will receive a
complimentary Jamaican Patty and drink, courtesy of event partners and sponsors.
Guests will enjoy authentic Jamaican culture, live DJs, and a celebration of multicultural unity all while
contributing to life-saving relief on the ground in Jamaica.
