YouTube DMs are officially back!

After 6 years, YouTube finally brought back this feature that lets you share videos, Shorts, and live streams and have conversations about them directly on the platform.

You must be 18+ and signed in to a YouTube channel to use it. Let us know in the comments if you have this feature and where you’re from!

This is currently available in select countries, including the USA, Brazil, the UK, France, and more. For the full list of countries, we’ll put them in the comments. :)

Getting more reach on Facebook and Instagram may soon come with a monthly subscription fee.

Yup, you read that correctly. Meta is currently testing two paid plans for creators and businesses: the Meta One Essential Plan ($14.99/month) and the Meta One Advanced Plan ($49.99/month).

One feature I didn’t get to mention in the video is that the Advanced Plan could help businesses get more visibility through featured placements in Facebook feeds, higher placement in Facebook and Instagram search results, a bold Follow button on Reels, and automatic follow invitations.

That sounds promising for us small business owners. More visibility could mean more people discovering our business. But if everyone starts paying for the same advantage, how much of an advantage is it really? Tell us what you think in the comments.

PS: These plans are only being tested in select countries right now.

Sometimes you’ve got the perfect video... except for one thing: a customer name, email address, phone number, or other information that shouldn’t be shared publicly.

Before you scrap the video and start over, try this step-by-step guide to blur part of a vertical video in Adobe Express. It’s a simple way to make a video usable again, whether you’re covering sensitive information or removing a distracting detail you don’t want shown on screen.

And if you’re looking to build your social media skills beyond quick tips, DM us about our social media training program. The link is in the comments/bio.

FINALLY, we can now reorder our Instagram grid. Thank you, devs. 🙌

This might seem like a small update, but for business owners who use Instagram as a portfolio or storefront, it’s been a long time coming.

Hackers have been targeting this WordPress plugin for months, and they haven’t stopped.

If your website uses Everest Forms Pro, it’s worth checking whether you’re running the latest version. Security researchers are reporting active attacks that could allow hackers to create administrator accounts, run malicious code, and potentially take control of vulnerable websites. More than 29,000 attack attempts have already been blocked.

Stories like this are a good reminder that websites need ongoing maintenance. New vulnerabilities are discovered all the time, and attackers are constantly looking for websites running outdated software.

If you’re unsure whether your website plugins are up to date or need help with hosting and website maintenance, send us a DM.

X (Twitter) added new posting limits for unverified accounts, and while most of us probably won’t hit those limits, the update says a lot about where the platform is heading. This latest change definitely leans further into pay-to-play territory.

We’ve been seeing more people question whether the time and energy they put into X still matches the return they’re getting from it.

For businesses using X for customer support, live event coverage, or other forms of community engagement, how much do you think this change would affect you? Would you shift your focus to other platforms because of this?

This one button will save you from Instagram’s latest update.

If you tried Instagram’s new “Instants” feature and panicked because your photo was sent immediately after hitting capture… there’s actually an UNDO button.

And surprisingly, a lot of people still don’t know you can also add captions to your Instants. Instagram doesn’t make it obvious at all; it’s one of those hidden features you kind of discover by accident.

In this video, we showed:
• where to find the undo button
• how to add captions
• a few other recent Instagram updates
