People often treat addicts like they can simply make a choice and get off drugs. People need help. This man is a real life super hero, helping people that the rest of us condemn to a slow, painful, and lonely death. Cheers to Patrick Ridge and everyone else out there making it happen.

What is the most effective way to create a child soldier?
1.Start young. Use trauma.

2.Create a set of rules that the child must follow, enforce the rules with threat of or actual violence.

3.Associate those rules with concepts that appear to transcend understanding and therefore they transcend criticism. Religion is very good at this and any version of religion will work just fine. Nationalism is also useful in the same way.

4.Use drugs to interfere with natural development and critical thinking facilities.

5. Rinse and repeat. Repetition is key to learning. Making a ritual out of reherasing the rules and false realities that you wish the soldier to follow and believe. Maybe something you have to repeat at the start of each day. Turn it into a song as some people learn better with music.

6.Create an enemy. The human mind loves the good guy-bad guy dynamic be sure to include the enemy when fabricating the rules and concepts you wish your soldier to follow.

Words like education and learning are practically interchangeable with words like manipulation and propaganda.
Finding ways to observe reality from different perspectives is the only way we can free ourselves, and each other, from the trap of the status quo.
