We are thrilled to officially be presenting “One Day This Kid” For Your Consideration for Best Live Action Short 🎞️💜

^ This is a sentence that we hoped to be able to say one day…and believe it or not, one day is actually here.

It’ll take a herculean effort because we are definitely the underdogs! That being said, with our World Premiere at and 60+ global festival screenings, winning the Jury Prize, the 2025 , and 21 other awards, has already punched way above its weight class and made a significant impact. Notably, it was also one of six films curated by legendary actor, Andrew Scott (Fleabag, All Of Us Strangers), as part of the “unhidden” gems cohort at SXSW, in partnership with 🥃

We are extremely proud of director , producer , cinematographer , production designer .marchand, lead actor , and the rest of the incredibly magical cast & crew for making a powerful film that audiences worldwide are deeply resonating with. It truly has been an honour to be involved every step of the way, from pre-production through now 🥰

One Day This Kid is now streaming on and soon-to-be on 🙏 It tells the story of a young q***r Afghan boy coming of age under the weight of his father’s expectations, in an environment that discourages self-expression.

This marks an exciting moment to spotlight the creative strength of our local community on the world stage. We encourage everyone to follow , spread the word to your film network, and help champion BC storytelling. Supporting projects like One Day This Kid reminds the world just how much talent thrives right here at home! A win for this film is a win for Vancouver!🎉

Film BOLDLY

BOLDLY was created in 2013 by a collective of filmmakers from Vancouver, British Columbia. At the time, it was three producers, a big dream, and several pots of coffee.

Today, our core team has grown to four full-time producers and 70+ crew in various roles on set and in post-production. Our collective of filmmakers has grown together and become a solid team for executing commercial production on demanding concepts and timelines. Their backgrounds range from stop-motion animation to live action narratives and their skillsets are as varied as the stories they tell: they’ve created both French and English commercial content for nationally recognized brands: Campbells Goldfish Crackers and Ferrero Rocher; branded films for Game of War, Vancouver Art Gallery, LONDRË, and Deloitte; and internationally recognized and award-nominated music videos for PUP, Nicky Romero and Marianas Trench; we have screened independent projects at VIFF, TIFF, Berlinale, and Montreal among other film festivals.

We pride ourselves on our ability to operate agile productions: our varied body of work has given us the tools to quickly mobilize crew, art, camera, gear and talent without compromising on quality. We fill every role with versatile, talented professionals, and our curated international roster of directors are making epic new content worthy of global brands.
