Q***r FM Vancouver is one of Canada's longest running LGBTTQ2+ radio programs, gratefully broadcasting for over 30 years on the unceded and traditional territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh peoples. PANTA MOSLEH (she/her/they/them) is a Graduate of the renown Groundlings School of Comedy in Los Angeles and a recipient of the 2021 SNL scholarship.

She is a Q***r Muslim Middle Eastern-Canadian Writer-Producer-Director-Actress who is based in Vancouver. She is an Alumni of the Women in the Director’s Chair and the Emerging top 20 writers in Canada program with Reelworld.

She has worked in production for a decade not only as a performer on projects like The Last of Us, The Promised Land and A24’s Eternity, (that debuted at TIFF 2025), but as a production coordinator, production manager, producer and a director as well.

Their latest work, PRIDE & PRAYER is a documentary that she directed about being q***r and Muslim that is debuting at the Vancouver Q***r Film Festival on September 21st at International Village Cinemas.

NEXT WEEK ON QUEERFM we welcome…

Toronto based Renaissance Man KELLY CLIPPERTON (he/him) has built a unique career in the performing, recording and visual arts in Toronto for 40 years.

Since graduating from York University’s BFA program in Theatre, he has worked as a producer, songwriter, playwright, singer, designer, actor, stylist, photographer and filmmaker. Kelly’s work has landed him on the covers of NOW, Xtra!, The Globe and Mail, Boom, Fab and Out to name but a few.

His band Kelly & The Kellygirls released 7 recordings between 2004 and 2014, toured Canada, UK and The States and achieved indie chart success. His recent one-man lady cabaret show “Let’s Assume I Know Nothing And Move Forward From There” received praise and sold out shows and is being developed into a film. His most recent work is the 4 track EP “Break a Leg Baby” which pulled from the 25 songs played throughout the “Let’s Assume I Know Nothing” show and was released in May of this year.
His new album, (the first in 12 years) will come out in the Spring 2026. Visit the artist on Insta at

The 37th annual Van Q***r Film Festival is coming up, running Sept 11th – 21st and we are always excited to chat with filmmakers being presented.

Next week we welcome to QUEERFM the filmmakers / Co-Directors behind THE NEST, a politically charged cross-community collaboration that deftly interweaves Indigenous, Deaf, Japanese and South Asian histories, all connected through the home.

JULIETTA SINGH (she/her) is an award-winning non-fiction writer and academic whose work engages the enduring effects of colonization through attention to ecology, inheritance and systemic inequalities.

She is the author of three books: No Archive Will Restore You (2018), Unthinking Mastery: Dehumanism and Decolonial Entanglements (2018) and, most recently, The Breaks (2021), a long letter to her daughter about race and mothering at the end of the world. The Nest is her first documentary feature.

CHASE JOYNT (he/him) is a multi-award-winning director and writer. His documentary feature Framing Agnes was named one of the best movies of the year by The New Yorker and has won more than 10 awards, including the Next Innovator Award and the Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival.

With Aisling Chin-Yee, Chase co-directed the multi-award winning No Ordinary Man, which was presented at Cannes Docs as part of the Canadian Showcase of Docs-in-Progress, and has been hailed by The New Yorker as “a genre unto itself” and by Indiewire as “the future of trans cinema.” You can find Chase on Insta at

After more than a decade away, PETER BREEZE (he/him) — the original wild child of Canadian q***r pop—is back. His new single BLOUSE has hit the airwaves and is an unapologetic celebration of femme energy and underground glamour, reintroducing Breeze as the chaotic, campy icon missing from today’s sanitized pop scene.

Known for q***r anthems like F*ckTalk (Buy Me A Drink), Taxi, and X Rated Angel from his debut Send In The Robots, Breeze built his legacy on glitter, grit, and zero shame, touring gay bars across North America and becoming a cult figure before q***r pop went mainstream.

He’s opened for stars like Aaron Carter and Bif Naked and was hailed by NYC ClubKid James St. James on World of Wonder as “the biggest star Canada has ever produced.”

ANTHONY BIDULKA (he/him) writes in the genres of mystery, thriller and suspense and is the author of 15 novels. He has developed a body of work that often features his Saskatchewan roots and underrepresented, diverse main characters.

Bidulka’s novels have been shortlisted for numerous awards, including the 2023 winner of the Crime Writers of Canada Award for Best Crime Novel and also won the Independent Publisher Book Award as the Canada West Best Fiction Gold Medalist. Anthony was awarded the Lambda Literary Award for Best Men’s Mystery, making Bidulka the first Canadian to win in that category.

Home Fires Burn - A Merry Bell Mystery is the conclusion of the award-winning Merry Bell trilogy, where a celebrated philanthropist is found slumped against his car, frozen to death. PI Merry Bell is hired by his son, country music star Evan Whatley, to find out the truth behind what really happened on that desolate stretch of road. As Merry’s investigation uncovers old wounds which never healed, her own are revealed as she confronts her pre-transition past and questions the boundaries of family and friendship.
