✨We’re excited to welcome Paulina Cameron as ECHO’s new Chief Growth Officer!

Paulina is a rare kind of growth leader — someone who brings clarity when things are complex and knows how to turn dreams into a reality that actually holds. She’s helped scale national and global organizations, and she shows up for founders and families with guidance, insight, and care.

As ECHO grows, she’ll help us support the meaningful companies and leaders we’re proud to work alongside.

We couldn’t be happier to have her on the team! ✨

Her six-word memoir?
"Chased sunsets with loved ones nearby."

What happens to a family legacy when the memories that built it begin to fade?

As dementia diagnoses rise, families—especially those with multigenerational businesses—are quietly losing more than stories. They’re losing the clarity, values, and decision‑making logic that once held everything together.
“Memory insurance” is becoming essential: intentionally documenting origin stories, purpose, and lived experience before they disappear. It’s not nostalgia—it’s continuity.

Read the full article here :

When a founder’s memories fade, what disappears isn’t just recollection. It’s clarity. Suddenly, for the next generation, everything feels up for reinterpretation. Here is why you need to start before the silence.

A sad moment for BC sports fans. This Monday, Iconic Vancouver broadcaster Jim Robson passed away. We were honoured to open "Play Ball!" (our book for the Vancouver Canadians) with a foreword by Jim. A true legend. 🥀

Iconic Vancouver broadcaster Jim Robson passed away Monday. His Hall of Fame career began in the early fifties and included a decade-long stint at The Nat doing Mounties play-by-play. Robson would go on to call PCL Canadians games over the years even as his hockey prominence grew. He will be

Happy International Education Day! 🎓

Here's a throwback to our school history collaboration with Royal St. George's College. For its 50th anniversary, RSGC wanted more than a timeline. We transformed decades of memories into a heartfelt, scrapbook-style story of values, quirks, and community spirit. A companion to the headmaster’s anniversary video, the book captures the magic of being a Georgian.

Happy holidays, friends!

This year, join us as we donate to , a nonprofit that helps children thrive in spite of the toughest challenges in the world. Because even in the darkest times, children have a right to safety, the right to a childhood. As the great activist Marian Wright Edelman said, “If we don’t stand up for children, then we don’t stand for much.”

With wishes for peace, and gratitude for the special role you have played in our story,

2007 was a big year for Purdys Chocolates.

To celebrate 100 years of business, the company got to work on all manner of centennial frolic. We were all for it:

✨A huge gala was organized, with guests including the Mayor of Vancouver and a performance by singer-songwriter Jann Arden.
✨An exhibition called “The Story of Chocolate” was held at Science World.
✨Commemorative tins, mugs and a collector’s envelope from Canada Post were commissioned.
✨An iconic Coat of Arms was designed, which is now used in storefronts and packaging.
✨Mr. Purdy’s original 1907 vanilla caramel (a long-time signature favourite) got a modern twist by adding a sprinkling of Himalayan Pink Salt, becoming an instant bestseller.
✨We documented Purdy’s 100-year journey in “Chocolate of Choice”
✨ We also created “The Chocolatier’s Apprentice”, a children’s book to support the national literacy initiative, Raise-a-Reader.
