A sad moment for BC sports fans. This Monday, Iconic Vancouver broadcaster Jim Robson passed away. We were honoured to open "Play Ball!" (our book for the Vancouver Canadians) with a foreword by Jim. A true legend. 🥀

Iconic Vancouver broadcaster Jim Robson passed away Monday. His Hall of Fame career began in the early fifties and included a decade-long stint at The Nat doing Mounties play-by-play. Robson would go on to call PCL Canadians games over the years even as his hockey prominence grew. He will be

✨Festive fun ranging from snowy hikes, skiing, bowling, decorations, bubbly drinking, and more ⛷️
✨Hearing from an old client via our holiday greeting card, who left a hearty donation to our charity of the year. 🎁

2007 was a big year for Purdys Chocolates.

To celebrate 100 years of business, the company got to work on all manner of centennial frolic. We were all for it:

✨A huge gala was organized, with guests including the Mayor of Vancouver and a performance by singer-songwriter Jann Arden.
✨An exhibition called “The Story of Chocolate” was held at Science World.
✨Commemorative tins, mugs and a collector’s envelope from Canada Post were commissioned.
✨An iconic Coat of Arms was designed, which is now used in storefronts and packaging.
✨Mr. Purdy’s original 1907 vanilla caramel (a long-time signature favourite) got a modern twist by adding a sprinkling of Himalayan Pink Salt, becoming an instant bestseller.
✨We documented Purdy’s 100-year journey in “Chocolate of Choice”
✨ We also created “The Chocolatier’s Apprentice”, a children’s book to support the national literacy initiative, Raise-a-Reader.
