A commenter recently accused this recreation of Severance’s iconic elevator scene we filmed for of being AI generated. While artificial intelligence certainly has its place in the filmmaking world, this particular ad was created solely by humans in front of () and behind () the lens. The disconcerting shift of perspective was achieved by pushing the camera towards the subject while simultaneously zooming out, creating a unique vertigo effect.

Georgia Street physically connects the city of Vancouver.
The roadway begins in Stanley Park, winding its way underneath old growth forest.
It enters the city through Coal Harbour and the downtown financial district.
The street continues through the historical downtown East Side, past industrial ports and shipyards.
Finally, Georgia Street ends in the residential communities of East Vancouver and Burnaby.
When Georgia Street Media formed in 2008, we named ourselves after this street to remind ourselves of the ways in which this diverse community is uniquely connected. After almost two decades of producing videos, our focus is still strongly set on telling the stories of our city and this province.

We’re thrilled for our brand refresh that incorporates this journey in such a bright way!
Huge thanks to for their artistry and attention to detail!

Happy 2026 Everyone!

Christmas came early!!✨
We are thrilled to reveal our updated brand and website!
👉🏻About a year and a half ago, we started working with a brand consultant (the amazing Joyce Chua) to better understand and define the GSM brand - who we are, what we value, and how to best communicate our strengths.

We began to pinpoint what makes us different:
- the value we place on building long lasting relationships
- our experience (over 15 years)
- our ability to deliver a sophisticated production with a small footprint
- our joy in making everyone on our sets feel comfortable and cared for 🥰
Our mission statement is: “We make videos that bring out the best in people.”

This includes everyone involved in the production process - from our on-camera talent, our clients, our internal team, and our contractors.

With these values at the forefront - we worked with the wonderful Carter Hales Design Studio to create a refreshed logo and visual brand.
The colours are warm and friendly, and perhaps, a bit surprising.
The logo signifies a sense of humanity, and is a nod to the handwriting you might find on a script as we work on revisions.

All of this has led to the new and improved GSM website - designed by the patient and multi-talented Kateland Clark. This new site showcases our work, our values and our vision.

We’re so proud of where we’ve come from - and we are so excited about where we’re going.

All the best in the year to come. We can’t wait to work with you soon!

She is a runner, an athlete, a producer, a director, an editor, a friend, and a colleague.
She climbs literal and figurative mountains.
She is courage and strength and fun, and always in your corner.
The kind of person who raises the energy in every room.
She’s usually the one celebrating everyone else, but today, we celebrate her.
Happy Birthday, Amanda!

Filming our host’s on-camera lines at a gold mine during the golden light of dawn looked great on our recent shoot in Fiji - plus, we were able to avoid the harsh, hot, and humid mid-day sun that would’ve made getting these in the can a lot more challenging!

Recent work for BC’s Office of the Human Rights Commissioner features Guy Felicella, a former substance user who lived on the Downtown Eastside for decades.

This video supports a larger position statement released by the Commissioner that shares:
“Treating people who use drugs as if their health issues are moral failings is a violation of their human rights.”

This piece is part of a library of work for the Commissioner, that shares the stories of British Columbia s who have faced discrimination and human rights abuses.

Guy discusses the importance of support and community that helped him get to where he is now. We hope you’ll watch the full piece, because damn, it’s inspiring!
Link in bio.

A huge thank you to Guy for sharing such a personal message, and for the team at the Office of the Human Rights Commissioner for their incredible collaboration 🙏🏻

Did you know that Fiji has pretty strict drone laws and that everyone, regardless of what other licenses, certifications, or registrations you may already have, needs a permit to bring one (even UAVs in the micro class) into the country. We were told by our local contact to leave the drone behind, but we gave an application a shot and fortunately got approved within an hour by the CAAF and Captain Treasure Marshall (yes, that’s the inspector’s real name) - so here are a few shots over Fiji with the Mini 4 Pro
