Hi all, quick status update. It's been months since we last released an episode and the reason is that this podcast runs on volunteer labour. We will be adding new episodes whenever we're able to, thank you for your patience and please enjoy our newest episode: "The Case of the Spinning Chandelier."

**Westbank Corp recently commissioned a 4.8 million dollar public art project known as the "Spinning Chandelier." Whether you love it or hate it, the piece brings up important questions about the value of public art and whether it matters who's paying for it. In this episode Eric Fredericksen, the City of Vancouver's Public Art Program Manager, breaks down how developer-commissioned public art is given the green light.**

In the newest episode of The Doc Project, you'll learn about Rennie Smith's journey to have her family history acknowledged and celebrated by the City of Vancouver. The Squamish-Portuguese community she's from lived on the Eastern shore of Stanley Park at Brockton Point from the 1860s until they were removed in 1931.

Rennie's story airs on CBC Radio tomorrow at 11:30am PST and 1:00pm PST on Friday.
