Join us for the Global Party of The Year as ¡Globalquerque! Celebrates 20 Years of bringing the world to New Mexico! And it is FREE!

Yeison Landero was born in San Jacinto (Bolívar), Colombia. Known as “el heredero de la cumbia” – the heir to cumbia, his 'cumbiambero" heart was inherited from his legendary musician grandfather, Andrés Landero, who arguably invented what we know today as cumbia, writing and singing lyrics that championed the lives of rural Native and Black campesinos. Now it is Yeison's turn to take the tradition forward with his unique style.
