Meet Lauda! (You can find her on Facebook under ‘Lauda Rolls Vancouver’)
Type: Taiwan Formosan Mountain Dog Mix
Story: Lauda was hit by a pickup truck in Taiwan causing severe injuries leaving her paralyzed from the waist down, and one leg needing to be amputated due to infection. The Coogo Rescue Foundation took her under their wing, supporting her with life saving surgeries and rehabilitation. They then set her up with her new loving owners in Vancouver (please google the foundation for more info)!
Lauda honestly is like any other dog - just needing extra love with a wheelchair to move around and scheduling to empty her bladder.
Seeing her run around so happy reminds me how important it is to adopt rescue dogs to give them an opportunity for a happy life. I can definitely tell she is living her BEST life with her owners.
Personality: Easy going, cuddly, curious, and happy
Likes: Any and all food, people, dogs (especially the dogs in her neighbourhood), squirrels, hanging out, and sleeping
Dislikes: She has a six sense if something is off, fetching a ball, toys, veggies, rain, and the vet @ Kitsilano Beach
