Just wrapped a powerful conversation on CTV in honour of Mental Health Awareness Month 🧠✨.

I spoke about my journey with disordered eating — a story I first shared in ‘Unlike the Rest’. What once lived in the shadows of shame found its light through writing ✍️.

Putting words to my experience transformed pain into purpose, and memory into meaning ❤️. It’s a reminder that our hardest chapters can still be told with grace — and sometimes, that telling becomes a lifeline for someone else.

Presenting today at the Azrieli Brain Medical Conference 2025 on a fascinating case report, by my Co-Presenter Dr. Adriano Mollica and I, on the intersection of brain medicine 🧠 and forensic psychiatry 🧪. Which explored the clinical and legal dimensions of behavioural variant frontotemporal dementia (bvFTD).

It feels like my first real step back into clinical medicine after some time away. Grateful for the opportunity to contribute to both the science and the story 💫.

Honoured to return as a Distinguished Alumni of the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board and serve as keynote speaker for this year’s Youth Event at St. Thomas Aquinas Secondary School during Catholic Education Week 🛐.

The theme, Catholic Education: “Pilgrims of Hope 🕊️”, resonates deeply—not only with my journey through Catholic education, but also with my calling as a psychiatry resident during Mental Health Awareness Week 🧠🩺.

In my talk, I shared how faith, resilience, and community guided me through the challenges of becoming a doctor and continue to shape my path in mental health care. I hope my story inspired students to walk their own paths with courage, purpose, and unwavering hope for a brighter future 💫.
