The Friends of the Vancouver Public Library want your donations of books, CDs and DVDs in good condition between Aug 18 – 29, 2025. Bring book donations to our two 2025 drop-off locations:
book’mark, the library store in the Central Library Atrium, 350 W. Georgia St.
• Donations of up to 3 boxes
• Mon – Fri from 10am to 5:30pm
• Or Sat from 10am to 4pm
Central Library – loading bay (off Hamilton Street)
• Donations of any size
• Mon – Fri from 8am to 4pm

The Victoria Drive Summer Cultural & Food Festival, hosted by the Victoria Drive Business Improvement Assoc., and held annually in Jones Park, 38th & Victoria Dr., Vancouver, Canada, continues to grow with the participation of the Asia Commercial Assoc. of Canada. Community information booths, local businesses and services are complimented by importers offering package foods and clothing. Adding to the international appeal are representation from many Asia Pacific countries including Malaysia, Indonesia and the People’s Republic of China.

Affordable Senior's Transportation, $5 Roundtrip Ride.

Are you a Senior 55+ looking to get to your destination – appointments, medical, grocery store and more in a safe, reliable way? to? If you live in South or East Vancouver the South Vancouver and Collingwood Neighbourhood Houses are offering a Senior's Transporation program.
Collingwood’s program has an eight-passenger, wheelchair equipped shuttle available every Mon., Wed., and Thurs. from 9am-4pm.
