Penguin's Wanderlust Penguin travels to see nature and art. Burner culture originating from the Black Rock Desert's Burning Man Festival is permeating the international world.

Participants come from far flung places. They take the culture home with them and regional events are popping up everywhere. I am writing a series of travel books each centering on a regional Burning Man event and the travel around it. The book about the New Orleans burn (T-Bois Blues Festival and NOLA Burning Village) and also driving an RV north to Vancouver Island is called Cloud Shadows. Island to Island is about travelling from Vancouver Island to the British Isles and then to the Swedish Island of Gotland for the Scandinavian burn called The Borderland. The most recent road trip will be detailed in Salt. It will cover the Los Angeles burn (BEquinox) and five weeks of sightseeing all the way to Texas and back to Vancouver Island. This page and its associated web site will be logging Penguin's adventures.

Camping trip canceled due to flaky vehicle that only starts if boosted. Consolation prize is early supper at the Doghouse restaurant in Duncan. Chocolate milkshake and Salisbury steak special with cheese on potatoes. Half is going with us. Enormous servings of delicious food. No room for the yummy looking strawberry pie at the front counter.
