The 2026 Mercedes-AMG E53 Wagon
I spent a week in this 600+ hp car and spent less than $10 on gas! This is truly ultimate family performance halter.
2 years ago Mercedes introduced the 6th generation E-class and it was only a matter of time the wagon version would come. The 2026 Mercedes-AMG E53 Wagon is highly practical and insanely fast.
Under the hood is a 3.0L turbocharged inline-6 engine paired with a P2 plugin hybrid system producing up to 605 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque making is really fast.
It’s practical as a daily vehicle because it has up to 66km of electric only range.
0-100km/hr in 3.9 seconds.
The E53 starts at 112K CAD and I think It’s good value when comparing to the competition. BMW’s M5 wagon starts at 148K CAD and even with 112 more horsepower, it’s only 0.3 seconds faster 0-100km/hr. In addition BMW has 26 km less electric only range making it less practical for saving money as a daily vehicle. Mercedes’ super wagon doesn’t sacrifice much speed and get much better fuel efficiency and range for significantly cheaper.
