“You look like a man.”
“You’re too muscular.”
“Is that a pen*s?”
“This is cringe.”
These are some of the comments I’ve received almost every day since I started creating content.
As a content creator, a woman, and a coach, I’ve watched clients, coworkers, friends, and family take comments like these as insults because on the surface, that’s exactly what they seem like.
But the truth is, something can only insult you if you interpret it as an insult and then believe what is being said about you. 😆
These comments aren’t insults. They’re often a testimony to your visibility and influence.
It’s like someone looking at you, seeing qualities they admire but haven’t cultivated in themselves, and feeling small because of it.
When people can’t diminish your success, your confidence, your strength, or your impact, they try to diminish you instead. But they couldn’t if they tried.
So take it as proof that you have left an impression and made a fan and keep going 😊
