Comme des géants evolves into Comme des géants Group as Milky Way Picture Books celebrates five years! 🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂
Launched in February 2021, Milky Way Picture Books was born out of a desire to broaden dialogues between cultures and children's book creators, and to offer picture books of great visual and literary richness to English markets. The new Groupe Comme des géants formation will more closely align Milky Way’s editorial line with our two original French-language imprints — Comme des géants and Le Lièvre de Mars — under one umbrella.
Milky Way’s fifth anniversary is an opportunity for us to celebrate the work of our creators and partners throughout Groupe Comme des géants, but also to reaffirm our mission.
✊ We will continue to contribute to the heritage of children's literature worldwide by bringing the voices and imaginations of Québecois, Canadian, and international creators to a global readership — through publishing standards far removed from anything considered “mass market” or "novelty,” through our commitment to bibliodiversity, and through our desire to promote the circulation of picture books.
