Mis Comienzos (Gustavo D. García) en la industria de los medios ...
Nací en Buenos Aires, Argentina, donde pasé mi infancia. Mi pasión por los videos comenzó a una edad temprana cuando vi a mi padre filmando y editando con una cámara de 8 mm,
Cuando llegué a Canadá en 1989, compré mi primer videocámara S-VHS. Comencé a practicar junto a mi esposa, filmando hitos importantes como cumpleaños, los primeros pasos de mis hijos, etc. ¡Pero lo que más me gustaba filmar era la hermosa naturaleza de Ontario! Ahí es cuando empecé a adaptar mi ojo artístico. Después, se convirtió en un hábito levantar la cámara para cualquier evento familiar o social. La videografía se convirtió en un pasatiempo para mí, hasta que un día, después de mucho estudiar y explorar, decidí finalmente abrir mi propia productora de videos.
En 1990 se estableció Hollywood Timmes, una compañía de videografía dedicada a todo tipo de eventos sociales. En mi mente, podía visualizar todas mis tomas y cómo iba a quedar en la edición final antes de comenzar a filmar, y eso me hizo sentir como un verdadero artista. Durante mi primer año de filmar sociales eventos, filmé 35 bodas y al año siguiente filmé un total de aproximadamente 60 eventos. Entre esos eventos se encontraban bodas, quinceañeras, aniversarios, bautizos, academias de baile, graduaciones, etc.
Unos años más tarde, me dije que quería "crear más contenido único", así que comencé a probar aún más las aguas en la industria corporativa. Después de varios comerciales producidos y televisados, decidí abrir una empresa para todos mis proyectos corporativos llamada HTMedia. Siempre disfruto un desafío y trabajar en el lado corporativo te da eso. Cada proyecto único, diferentes audiencias hasta un punto focal completamente diferente, el mundo corporativo me mantiene creando y eso es lo que me gusta. He hechos trabajos para ROGERS COMMUNICATIONS, un programa de televisión para UNIVISION CANADA, RE-MAX, NISSAN, GM y muchas otras compañías. HTMedia también fue mencionada y nominada en los LATIN AWARDS CANADÁ.
Hoy puedo decir que me siento feliz y satisfecho con lo que hago. Sé que el arte de filmar y editar está en mi sangre. Mi esposa siempre me dice que probablemente soy una de las pocas personas que puede levantarse el lunes feliz de ir a trabajar. Siempre le digo lo mismo, "¡Porque para mí es una pasión lo que hago!" Todos los días tengo la suerte de poder expresar, crear, construir y dirigir a través del arte del Video. Al final, producir no es solo un trabajo que paga mis gastos, es mucho más que eso, se trata de dejar esa marca en el mundo y compartir mi arte.

An insight into my history (Gustavo D. Garcia) in the media industry...

I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where I spent my childhood. My passion for videos started at a young age when I saw my father filming and editing with an 8mm camera,

When I arrived in Canada back in 1989, I bought my first S-VHS camcorder. I began to practice by filming important milestones with my wife. Afterwards, it became second nature for me to pick up the camera for any family or social event. Videography became only a hobby for me, until one day after much studying and exploring this field I decided to finally open my own company.

In 1990 Hollywood Timmes was established, a videography company dedicated to all types of social events. In my mind, I was able to visualize all my shots before I began to film and that made me feel like a true artist. During my first year in the filming industry, I filmed 35 weddings and the year after I filmed a total of approximately 60 events. Amongst those events were weddings, quinceñeras, anniversaries, baptisms, dance recitals, proms, graduations, etc.

A few years later, I told myself that I wanted “to create more unique content”, so I began to further test the waters in the corporate industry. After several produced and aired commercials, I then decided to open up a company for all my corporate projects called HTMedia. I always enjoy a challenge and working on the corporate side gives you that. Each project is so unique, from different audiences to a completely different focal point, the corporate world keeps me creating and I love it. I have worked with ROGERS, a TV Show for UNIVISION CANADA, REMAX, NISSAN, GM, and many more known companies. My company was also mentioned and nominated at the LATIN AWARDS CANADA.

Today I can say that I feel happy and fulfilled with what I do. I know that the art of filming and editing is in my blood. My wife always tells me that I am probably one of the few people who can get up happy to work on Mondays. I always tell her the same thing, “I love what I do that’s why!” Every day I am fortunate to be able to express, create, and build relationships through the art of producing. In the end, producing isn’t just a job that pays my bills for me, this is so much more than that, it’s about actually making that mark in the world and sharing my art.
