1. What's the difference between Generative AI and Agentic AI ?

Generative AI is the generation of Texts, Audio, Video, Images and Codes.

It is about Content Creation, Ideation and Summarization. ChatGPT, Meta AI, Twitter's Grok, Deepseek etc are all Generative AI.

Agentic AI is AI that works autonomously. It can take Action, execute tasks and implements workflows without human intervention.

Agentic AI works as a Personal Assistant.

2. What exactly is Agentic AI ?

I will explain this with a simple example of an AI Agent that will do the following

"Find me 10 schools in Lagos that may need a School Management System and SEND THEM AN EMAIL"

Here is what the AI agent will do

1. Search online for private schools in Lagos.
2. Scrape contact details from websites or directories.
3. Use a Generative AI like ChatGPT to draft a custom email.
4. Send emails using Gmail.
5. Log results in a spreadsheet or notify you on Whatsapp.

The Agentic AI will execute all these tasks on its own without ANY PROMPTING. It executes them like a human assistant would.
